Dr. Aboolian Believes in Covering His Behind!!

Dr. Donda West, Kanye's mother, was going to have her surgery performed by Dr. Aboolian (pictured at left) a well-known Beverly Hills plastic surgeon-IF, and only IF, she went to an internist referred by him and received a clearance.

Unfortunately, Dr. West did not heed Dr. Aboolian's advice, she instead went to a doctor who saw dollar signs and performed the surgery anyway.

As we all know the consequence was deadly.

Family, if you're considering surgery...DO RESEARCH! This is not NIP/TUCK-ok?

That is a TV show, THIS IS YOUR LIFE!

See a reputable plastic surgeon, and ask questions. Ask a million questions if you have to. Do not allow the doctor to talk down to you, or make your fears seem unfounded.

His Probation Revoked, Jena Six's Bell back in Jail

JENA, La. - (AP) A teenager at the center of the controversial Jena Six case is back in jail after a judge revoked his probation because of an old drug charge that had never been tried, his father said Thursday.

Mychal Bell, who along with five other black teenagers had been accused of beating a white classmate, had gone to juvenile court expecting another routine hearing, Marcus Jones said.
"He's locked up again," Jones said. "No bail has been set or nothing. He's a young man who's been thrown in jail again and again, and he just has to take it."
Bell was originally charged with attempted murder, but the charges were reduced and he was convicted of battery. A court threw that conviction out, saying Bell should not have been tried as an adult on that charge.

More than 20,000 (how about 70,000+ ?!) demonstrators gathered recently in Jena to protest what they perceive as differences in how black and white suspects are treated. The case has drawn the attention of civil rights activists including the Revs. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

Ok, I must remember who I am, and WHOSE I AM.

Before I am black, before I am an African-American,

I am a Christian.

I must be mindful of that fact otherwise, that stinking-thinking part of me is going to rise up and say something I will mean, towards the authorities in Jena,LA

but will also have the potential to spill over into the lives of the non-minority people I love.

So, out of respect for my "dark-melanin-challenged" friends and co-workers, I shall utilize some shut mouth grace.

I cannot believe this is happening in 2007. We are still second class citizens.

We're red-lined.

Price gouged.

Pay higher insurance.

Higher utilities--

citizens of Detroit, can testify to paying exorbitant rates.

DTE (electric utility co.) has been known to charge 2-3x's HIGHER, than

that of suburban communities for monthly service.

They bill your gas/electric together, so if you don't pay one-BOTH are cut off.

When I lived in Detroit--in the winter I HAD A BILL THAT WAS $600 for ONE MONTH.

I vowed to move that year and I did.

Man Kills Self at City Council Meeting

CLARKSVILLE, Tennessee (Oct. 5) - A business owner shot and killed himself during a city council meeting after members voted against his request to rezone his property, witnesses said.

Ronald " Bo " Ward , owner of Bo 's Barber Shop, had told the council his business would go under if he could not get his home rezoned as commercial. After the 5-7 vote Thursday night, Ward stood and walked toward the council.

"Ya'll have put me under ... I'm out of here," he said before shooting himself in the head with a small handgun.

Fire and police officials attending the meeting immediately ushered the audience of about 50 into the hallway, where several people were sobbing.

At least one police officer is always on duty during council meetings, officials said. However, visitors are not required to go through a metal detector or any other screening.

"When a gun gets whipped out like that, someone is going to get shot, but I didn't know who," Councilman Bill Summers said. "You could've been right next to him, and I don't think you could have stopped that."

Mayor Johnny Piper said Thursday's council meeting would be the last held in that room. Ward had said the rezoning would increase his property value, allowing him to secure a loan to offset debt he incurred when he expanded his shop.
