Mayor Hires Top Criminal Lawyer, $600/hour
Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has hired prominent criminal defense attorney Mayer Morganroth, a man best known recently for representing Jack Kevorkian and Geoffrey Feiger.
Morganorth, who's other former clients have included former Detroit Mayor Coleman Young and auto executive John De Lorean, has been described by the Oakland Press as a "$600-an-hour attorney."
