Is temptation too great when serving in public office??

It seems as if these stories are becoming all too frickin' common now: The first elected African American Mayor of Baltimore, Sheila Dixon has been indicted on 12...TWELVE COUNTS of crap including perjury and theft. sigh  Dixon was indicted by the city grand jury on Friday, Jan. 9th.

Dixon is 'accused of accused of using gift cards meant for the poor and buying clothes and gadgets for herself.'

While there has been 'a drop in homicides under Dixon, and she's been praised for shrewd hiring and quick problem-solving. As the first black woman to be elected mayor of Baltimore, she has a strong base of support in a city that's two-thirds African-American.'

However, in light of recent events I'm not sure how strong her bae will remain.

How sad, how very sad it is for a woman to make history only to end with indictments!

To be continued.
