What Kind of MONSTER...

Monster Mama #1

Renee Bowman, 43, told police the bodies of two of her children were in the freezer since February.

Renee Bowman, 43, told police the bodies of two of her children were in the freezer since February.

In Maryland, this woman (above) is accused of killing her two older daughters 9 & 11, and burying their remains in her basement freezer.  Police discovered the frozen bodies after her Bowman's youngest daughter, 7, hopped out of a 2nd story window to get help.   The story goes that the children were ENCASED IN ICE.

Like an Ice Sculpture??

 sigh

The babies have been frozen for AT LEAST 7 mos., according to their killer (yeah I said it) Bowman.

The 7 y/o who ran away was found wearing a feces/blood soaked shirt.  Bowman admitted to beating the child with a hard-heeled shoe. *blank stare*

*heart palpitating*

When the 7 y/o girl was found, this was her condition:

  • open sores/lesions on her thighs & buttocks
  •                    marks on her neck made by a cord, rope or other item                                          (she choked/hung her???)
  • bruises on her hands and lips

So Stupid, It Must be True...

NESS CITY, Kansas (AP) -- A man whose girlfriend authorities say spent nearly two years in a bathroom in their house, sitting on the toilet so long that the seat adhered to her body, has been charged with mistreatment of a dependent adult.

Kory McFarren, 37, was charged Monday in Ness County District Court.

McFarren called the Ness County Sheriff's Office in late February to say something was wrong with his girlfriend. When authorities arrived at the home, they found Pam Babcock, 35, stuck to the toilet, which they think she had sat on for about a month.

McFarren told authorities that Babcock feared leaving the bathroom and may not have left it in two years, although said he was unsure how long she was in there. He said that he took her food and water daily, and that he repeatedly asked her to come out but that she usually replied "maybe tomorrow."

"The only thing I am guilty of is I didn't get her help sooner," McFarren told The Associated Press nearly a week ago.

Ness County Attorney Craig Crosswhite said the mistreatment charge most closely fit the situation.

"I looked at the statutes and spoke to the attorney general's office," he said. "This was a very unusual set of circumstances, and this is the law that most closely applied to the situation."
Authorities said Babcock sat on the toilet so long that open sores developed and caused her to become attached to the seat. Sheriff Bryan Whipple has said that he used a pry bar to remove the seat from the toilet, and that the woman was taken to the hospital with the seat still attached.

"She would have to be sleeping on the toilet," Whipple said.

Doctors at a Wichita, Kansas, hospital where Babcock was taken told McFarren that an infection in her legs had damaged her nerves and could leave her in a wheelchair. She was still at the hospital Wednesday night.

McFarren's first court appearance will be in April, Crosswhite said. source

Killed Like A Porn Star...Sadness

Body Likely That of Missing Student

EL DORADO, Kan. (Nov. 29) -- Her fans knew her only as an Internet porn star named Zoey Zane. But in this small Kansas hamlet, Emily Sander's friends saw her as a vivacious teenager who worked hard days as a secretary at an electric company and went to night school to study business management. She dreamed one day of opening a piercing studio and becoming a movie director.

Authorities said Thursday the preliminary physical description of a body found about 50 miles east of El Dorado matches that of the missing 18-year-old. Investigators refused to give details about the state of the body or how it was found.

Kansas police discovered a body Thursday matching the description of an 18-year-old college student who led a double life as an Internet porn star. Emily Sander, aka Zoey Zane, vanished from El Dorado, Kan., last Friday.

As news of the discovery spread, her friends comforted themselves with memories of a loving young woman who enjoyed cooking goulash and would give a ride to anybody who needed one.

"She was probably the most independent girl I know," said Nikki Watson, her close friend. "She was so anxious to get out on her own and make something of herself. She was ready to take on life."

Sander moved in with her boyfriend Michael McAllister when she was 17.

"It was probably the best time in my life," McAllister said Thursday.

He helped her finish high school, and she encouraged him in college. They bought pink and white Denver Bronco jerseys for themselves and their dog, Zan, that they wore on game days. She loved to dance to hip-hop music.

"She wanted to choreograph music videos. That is the only reason she did the Internet thing - to get a little exposure," McAllister said.

They broke up in September after she started posing for nude photos, he said.

Sander's case drew wide attention after it was revealed that she appeared nude on an adult Web site under the name Zoey Zane. That site was temporarily inaccessible Thursday, as were several sites that bill themselves as "fan" sites of Zane.

But Police Chief Tom Boren insisted Thursday that Sander's Internet activity had no connection to her disappearance.

"The issue of the Internet and the spinoff of that has been literally crippling our investigation," Boren said.

Boren said the cause of death was not yet known. An autopsy is planned.

Sander was last seen leaving an El Dorado bar Friday with a man who has been the focus of a nationwide search since police found large quantities of blood in a Kansas motel room where he was staying.

Prior to finding the body, investigators said they had not found a link between Sander and her activities as Zoey Zane. But publicity about her explicit photos brought a flood of tips, many of them false leads.

Sander, who attended Butler Community College, left the bar with Israel Mireles, 24. Authorities are looking for him and his 16-year-old pregnant girlfriend.

The rental car Mireles was driving was found abandoned Tuesday in Vernon, Texas, where he has relatives. Investigators interviewed family members and planned to bring the vehicle back to Kansas for processing.

"We feel they know where he is at, but they haven't shared that with us," Boren said.

On Thursday, searchers on foot and all-terrain vehicles were checking the tall grass along each side of Highway 54 near Neal, Kan., as they traced the route Mireles may have taken Saturday on the way to Baxter Springs to pick up his girlfriend.

Sander's grandmother, Shirley Sander, said the discovery of a body would "very definitely" bring closure to the family.

"We had to know one way or another," she said in a telephone interview.

Guilty Verdict in Fetus Snatching Case
source

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 22) - A woman whose attorneys had argued that she was suffering from delusions when she killed an expectant mother, cut the baby from her womb and took the infant home was convicted Monday.

Jurors convicted Lisa Montgomery, 39, of kidnapping resulting in death in the 2004 attack on 23-year-old Bobbie Jo Stinnett in the northwest Missouri town of Skidmore.

Lisa Montgomery's attorneys claimed she was in a dreamlike state brought on by stress when she killed 9-months-pregnant Bobbie Jo Stinnett and cut the baby from her womb. But a jury didn't buy the insanity defense.

The jury deliberated for about four hours before rejecting Montgomery's insanity defense. The jury could have acquitted her outright or found her not guilty by reason of insanity. Prosecutors said they plan to seek the death penalty.

After the verdict was read, Montgomery dried her eyes and one of her attorneys patted her back to console her.

Stinnett's husband, Zeb, and Montgomery's husband, Kevin, showed no emotion.

Defense attorneys claimed Montgomery was suffering from pseudocyesis, which causes a woman to falsely believe she is pregnant and exhibit outward signs of pregnancy.

They portrayed her as a victim of severe mental illness whose delusion of being pregnant was being threatened, causing her to enter a dreamlike state when the killing took place.

They also argued that she had post-traumatic stress disorder brought on by mental, physical and sexual abuse in her childhood.

But during closing arguments, federal prosecutor Roseann Ketchmark called the pseudocyesis claim "voodoo science."

She said Montgomery was driven by fear because she believed her ex-husband, Carl Boman, would expose that she was lying about being pregnant and use it against her as he sought custody of two of the couple's four children. A custody hearing had been set for January 2005.

"It's not pseudocyesis or post-traumatic stress disorder," Ketchmark said. "And even if you wrap them up and put delusions around them, it's not insanity."

Ketchmark said Montgomery plotted the slaying and abduction and took pains to cover up that planning after she was caught.

"She knows she's not pregnant," the prosecutor said. "It's no delusion. It's deceit and manipulation."

Montgomery had undergone a tubal ligation in 1990 after the birth of her fourth child. But soon after, she began falsely reporting a series of pregnancies. In 2004, she claimed to be due in mid-December.

Boman had become suspicious of her latest pregnancy claim and threatened to use it against her as he sought custody of two of the couple's four children. A custody hearing had been set for January 2005.

Montgomery's mother and sister also had been telling Montgomery's husband and his parents that it was impossible for her to carry a child.

As Montgomery's purported Dec. 13, 2004, due date approached, she began conducting searches on the Internet about Stinnett and researching different aspects of child birth. The defense portrayed those efforts as evidence that she believed she was pregnant. The prosecution called them proof of premeditation.

Prosecutors said Montgomery used a rope to choke Stinnett, who was eight months pregnant. But Stinnett was conscious and trying to defend herself as Montgomery used a kitchen knife to cut the baby girl from the womb, prosecutors said.

Montgomery was arrested the day after the killing after spending the morning showing off the infant as her own in her hometown of Melvern, Kan.

Montgomery's attorneys and a spokesman for Stinnett's family declined to comment. Stinnett's baby is living with her family.

"The only good thing that comes from this tragedy is that little Victoria is a healthy baby and is reunited with her family," U.S. Attorney John F. Wood said.

After initially denying the crime, Montgomery told investigators she had taken a knife, rope and umbilical cord clamp with her to Stinnett's home. Montgomery said she had thought she was leaving the home when "something out of character" happened and "then this took place."

Attorneys are to start arguing Wednesday whether Montgomery deserves the death penalty.

You see her mugshot??
What reason does she have to be frowned up?
She's still here.
A child has no mother.
Crazy my fo0t, who doesn't have childhood trauma?
The person who says they don't, would be the one to fear!
I say give her the same treatment she gave Bobbie Jo.
Life in prison is too easy--and i don't want to pay for her upkeep!
cutting a baby out of a womb?
yeahhh, she's crazy but she's not deranged.
I hope they stick it to her.
that girl was 23 years old...just starting to live.
*sigh*
