Unemployed Dad Takes Out his Entire Family...smh
Police outside a home where an unemployed father is believed to have killed his sons, wife and mother-in-law.
Karthik Rajaram of Porter Ranch, CA had an MBA in Finance-but has been umployed for several months. He became so distraught over his unemployment status that he shot nd killed his wife, his mother-in-law, and 3 sons before turning the gun on himself. One of his sons, 19, Krishna Rajaram was a Fulbright Scholar (no small feat) and an honor roll at UCLA.
- Karthik was 45.
- His wife was 39.
- His mother-in-law was 69
- And the boys were 19, 12 & 7
Karthik assumed full responsibilities for the killings in the letter he left law enforcement. He also left a letter for friends and family, and what appears to be his will.
Karthik admits to have experienced severe financial difficulties, and felt that killing his family and not subjecting them to the troubles were the honorable thing to do.
My gawd.

Serious thoughts, and prayers for friends and family. Although it may never be understood, I hope the letters offer some kind of clarity as to the thinking of Karthik. What a desperate and tragic act.
