Why I Would NEVER become a teacher...

I came across this video at Free2bee's blog, and I tell you...this video has confirmed in spirit and elsewhere why there's not enuf money in the world to teach today's U.S.A. high schoolers.

Let the record show...i'm not speaking of those students who are serious about learning and know why they're there. There are students who choose to rise above their circumstances.

I'm speaking of those who have (for whatever reason) anger and choose to take it out on those who are there to teach. The only way I'D teach kids would be if they're in preschool or kindergarten (and I'd think twice about that)...or I can come strapped with a glock or two, and Jesus came back in the flesh and told me it's either do this or go straight to hell!

As you watch this video...listen to the background as some kids are laughing.
What in the HELL (yeah, i said HELL) is so FUNNY???
I tell you, we're our own worse enemy.

This Is Why Kids Act The Way They Do...

Mother Assaults Students At School (Detroit, MI)
source

Noble Middle School was locked down on Tuesday and a student’s mother was taken into custody after a fight escalated.

Two girls got into a fight in the lunchroom at Noble Middle School on Fullerton Road.

One of the girls called her mother for help, police said. The mother arrived with two men.

School officials said the adults walked through the front doors of the school. Police said the mother assaulted and confronted students.

“They came through the front door, they didn't come through the side, they walked in and started attacking kids and they injured my child. I'm on my way to the hospital now to take my child,” Linda Finley, a mother.

The woman was taken into custody and the lockdown was lifted.

When your mama's a hot mess-how do you think you'll turn out??
She should be embarrassed. I hope Lara Finley, press charges.
This is not an isolated incident in Detroit.
This type of behavior is reported at least once a year. That's one too many.
In addition to the mother, there were 2 men. This was MIDDLE SCHOOL, for goodness sakes.

Kid Rock arrested after fight
source

ATLANTA (Reuters) - Musician Kid Rock was arrested on Sunday after a fight in a Waffle House restaurant in Atlanta just days after he scored his first No. 1 album on U.S. pop charts, police said.
DeKalb County police said they arrested Rock, 36, and five members of his entourage at 5:15 a.m. after an argument with a man who entered the Waffle House escalated into a fight.

"Rock along with five members of his entourage were charged with one count of battery, which is a misdemeanor. The victim ... was treated and released at a local hospital for his injuries," Mekka Parish, spokeswoman for DeKalb police, said.

The Waffle House pressed charges against the man involved in the fight with Rock's entourage after a window was punched out during the fight, which started inside but ended in the parking lot, Parish said.

She said Rock had given a concert in Atlanta earlier in the evening and left the scene on his tour bus after the fight. He was stopped and arrested about a mile down the road, Parish said. He
was released on bond later on Sunday.

Rock scored the first No. 1 album of his career on Wednesday with "Rock N Roll Jesus."

It was only after a crowd of screaming students ran past Darnell Rodgers in a stairway at his Cleveland, Ohio, high school Wednesday afternoon that he realized he had been shot."They were screaming, 'Oh my God! Oh my God,'" said Rodgers, a senior at SuccessTech Academy near downtown Cleveland. At around 1:15 p.m., a 14-year-old gunman, reportedly upset about a school suspension, was walking the halls firing with a gun in each hand. He shot 57-year-old as teacher David Kachadourian in the back in addition to shooting a 42-year-old teacher, officials said.Rodgers suddenly felt his arm "burning," he said, and realized he had been shot in the elbow.
When it was all over, five people had been shot including the gunman who, according to Cleveland mayor Frank Jackson, killed himself.Students at SuccessTech Academy described the gunman as having an "odd" personality. Witnesses told WKYC the shooter had been suspended for fighting earlier this week.Edward Eckart, Commissioner of Cleveland EMS Cleveland said the 42-year-old was shot in the chest and is in critical condition at MetroHealth Medical Center. The 57-year-old, who MetroHealth identified to CNN as Kachadourian, is in stable condition. Rodgers was treated and released from the hospital. The 14-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his side was transported to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital where he is in stable condition, Eckart said.A 14-year-old female with a knee injury was also taken to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and is in stable condition.

CLEVELAND - A 14-year-old suspended student, dressed in black, opened fire in his downtown high school Wednesday, wounding four people as terrified schoolmates hid in closets and bathrooms and huddled under laboratory desks. He then killed himself.

A fellow student at SuccessTech Academy alternative school said Asa H. Coon, who was suspended for fighting two days earlier, had made threats in front of students and teachers last week.

"He's crazy. He threatened to blow up our school. He threatened to stab everybody," Doneisha LeVert said. "We didn't think nothing of it."
Coon was armed with two .38 caliber revolvers, and police found a duffel bag stocked with ammunition and three knives in a bathroom, officials said. Parents were angry that firearms got into a school equipped with metal detectors that students said were intermittently used.

Officials said two teachers and two students were shot, and that a 14-year-old girl fell and hurt her knee while running out of the school.
Witnesses said the shooter moved through the converted five-story downtown office building, working his way up through the first two floors of administrative offices to the third floor of classrooms. Officials said he was wearing a black Marilyn Manson concert shirt, black jeans and black-painted finger nails.

The first person shot, student Michael Peek, had punched Coon in the face right before the shootings began, said student Rasheem Smith, 15.
Coon "came out of the bathroom and bumped Mike and he (Mike) punched him in his face. Mike started walking. He shot Mike in the side." Peek, 14, didn't know Coon had a gun, Smith said.

Antonio Deberry, 17, said he and his classmates hid under laboratory tables and watched the shooter move down the hallway. "I saw him walking past. He didn't see us, we saw him." The shooter swore and shot several times, Deberry said.

LeVert said she hid in a closet with two other students after she heard a "Code Blue" alert over the loudspeaker. She said she heard about 10 shots.
Darnell Rodgers, 18, was walking up to another floor when the stairway suddenly became flooded with students.
"It took me a couple of minutes to realize that I was actually shot, when I felt my arm burning in the area, that's when I realized that I had got shot," Rodgers said.
"They were screaming, and they were saying, 'Oh my God, oh my God.' I knew something was wrong, but thought that it was probably just a fight, so I just kept going," Rodgers said.
Rodgers was released from a hospital after treatment for a graze wound to his right elbow.

Coon had been suspended since Monday for fighting near the school that day, said Charles Blackwell, president of SuccessTech's student-parent organization. He did not know how Coon got into the building Wednesday.
Blackwell said that there was a security guard on the first floor, but that the position of another guard on the third floor had been eliminated.

Student Frances Henderson, 14, said she often got into arguments with Coon, who once told her, "I got something for you all." He was a "gothic" who usually wore a trench coat, black boots and a dog collar, she said.

Students stood outside the building, many in tears, hugging one another and on cell phones. Others shouted at reporters with TV cameras to leave them alone. Family members also stood outside, waiting for their children to be released.

Math teacher David Kachadourian, 57, was in good condition; Michael Grassie, a 42-year-old teacher, was in surgery, but his condition was unavailable. The other two injured teens were taken to a children's hospital, which would not release their names, ages or conditions.
Deberry's mother, Lakisha Deberry, said she was upset that metal detectors at the school were not always in use.
"You never know what's going on in someone's mind," said Deberry, adding that she was required to go through a metal detector and present an identification card whenever she wanted to drop off something at school for her children.

The shooting occurred across the street from the FBI office in downtown Cleveland, and students were being sent to the FBI site.
Classes at all schools in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District will be canceled Thursday, said Eugene Sanders, chief executive officer of the district. Counseling will be available Thursday for students at recreation centers throughout the city, Sanders said.
SuccessTech Academy is an alternative high school in the public school district that stresses technology and entrepreneurship. It is housed on several floors of the district's downtown Cleveland Lakeside Avenue administration building.
"It's a shining beacon for the Cleveland Metropolitan School system," said John Zitzner, founder and president of E City Cleveland, a nonprofit group aimed at teaching business skills to inner-city teens. "It's orderly, it's disciplined, it's calm, it's focused."

The school has about 240 mainly black students with a small number of white and Hispanic students.

Coon was white and Henderson, the student who said she frequently argued with him, is black, but she said she didn't believe race played a role in the shootings.

The school, opened five years ago, ranks in the middle of the state's ratings for student performance. Its graduation rate is 94 percent, well above the district's rate of 55 percent.

********

I have told associates of mine's, 14yrs of age seems to be a critical year for youth. Whenever children have begun (began??) to lash out (as relayed to me by associates, friends and family) the onset usually manifests itself at 14. My son's friend hung himself at 14. My daughter's anger became pronounced at 14 etc. It is such a critical (do-or-die thinking), that it can have dire consequences with the most serious resulting in death.

For Asa to get to this point can only mean that he was unspeakable pain. Was it the fight that caused him to react in such a way??

Doubtable-I firmly believe the fight--was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Father, I just don't know what it is we can do for these hurting children. But you do. So Lord, I ask that you please...PLEASE...do something, in Jesus' name!

Free at last, Free at last-Thank God Almighty-Mychal's Free at last!!

As I stated a couple of days ago-when God closes a door-no man can open it, and when God opens a door, no man can close it. I also said this was the time to have faith...believe without having to see.
It is because of the faith of many, Mychal Bell has walked out a free man. Father in heaven-THANK YOU, for you faithfulness in Jesus' name amen!

What's funny is-as national radio talk show host effective predicted the number of protesters who went to Jena 6 would be greatly decreased when reported by mainstream media. If you look below I emboldened the number of protesters they said attened-15,000-how insulting. Nevertheless, we know the truth.

I MUST give credit to Al Sharpton. I thought he was a loud mouth buffoon, but he is in fact tenacious, outspoken, fair and right! Thank you Al Sharpton, and Michael Baisden.

WELCOME HOME, MYCHAL and God bless you!

Mychal Bell of 'Jena 6' released on bail
source: cnn.com
(CNN) -- Mychal Bell, a black teenager accused of beating a white classmate and who was the last of the "Jena 6" behind bars, was released from custody Thursday after a juvenile court judge set his bail at $45,000.

Bell's release followed an announcement from LaSalle Parish District Attorney Reed Walters, who said he would not appeal a higher court's decision moving Bell's case to juvenile court.
Wearing a blue striped golf shirt and jeans, Bell walked out of the LaSalle Parish courthouse a week after an estimated 15,000-plus demonstrators marched through Jena -- a town of about 3,000 -- to protest local authorities' handling of the teens' case.

"We do not condone violence of any kind, but we ask that people be given a fair and even chance at the bar of justice," the Rev. Al Sharpton said outside the courthouse.
"
Tonight, Mychal can go home, but Mychal is not out of the juvenile process. He goes home because a lot of people left their home and stood up for him," he said.
"Let America know -- we are not fighting for the right to fight in school. We're not fighting for the right for kids to beat each other. We're fighting to say that there must be one level of justice for everybody. And you cannot have adult attempted murder for some, and a fine for others, and call that equal protection under the law. Two wrongs don't make one civil right."

Demonstrators at last week's march were protesting how authorities handled the cases of Bell and five other teens accused of beating fellow student Justin Barker.
Many said they were angry that the students, dubbed the Jena 6, were being treated more harshly than three white students who hung nooses from an oak tree on Jena High School property.

The white students were suspended from school but did not face criminal charges. The protesters said they should have been charged with a hate crime.

Bell's attorney Lewis Scott said the teen was moved from jail to a juvenile facility earlier Thursday.
Walters said his decision not to appeal was based on what he believed was best for the victim in the case.

"While I believe that a review would have merit ... I believe it is in the best interest of the victim and his family not to delay this matter any further and move it to its conclusion," Walters told reporters. Watch the Rev. Al Sharpton discuss the teen's release »

He said last week's march, which included Sharpton and Martin Luther King III, did not influence his decision.
Bell, now 17, was the only one of the Jena 6 behind bars. His bond previously was set at $90,000.

A district judge earlier this month tossed out Bell's conviction for conspiracy to commit second-degree battery, saying the matter should have been handled in juvenile court. The 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal in Lake Charles, Louisiana, did the same with Bell's battery conviction in mid-September.

Prosecutors originally charged all six black students accused of being involved in beating Barker with second-degree attempted murder and conspiracy. Walters reduced charges against at least four of them -- Bell, Robert Bailey Jr., Carwin Jones and Theo Shaw -- to battery and conspiracy.

Bryant Purvis awaits arraignment. Charges against Jesse Ray Beard, who was 14 at the time of the alleged crime, are unavailable because he's a juvenile.
Wednesday, Gov. Kathleen Blanco announced that Louisiana State Police officers will protect the families of the Jena 6 and investigate any threats they have received. A white supremacist Web site posted the names and addresses of the six black teens after last week's march, calling on followers to "let them know justice is coming."
Thursday, the FBI said it had been made aware of allegations of threats.

"Threats are taken seriously, and as these investigations are ongoing we cannot comment further," said Sheila Thorne of the FBI's office in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The December 4 attack on Barker came after months of racial tension, including at least two instances of fighting in the town, sparked originally when three white teens hung the nooses.
Walters has said there was no direct link between the hanging of the nooses and the schoolyard attack, and defended the prosecutions ahead of last Thursday's peaceful march. Blanco defended the prosecutor Wednesday, saying, "He has a solid record and is highly respected among his peers."

Walters also addressed the stress and notoriety the town has been subjected to, saying the only way he and other residents "have been able to endure the trauma that has been thrust upon us is through the prayers of the Christian people who have sent them up in this community."
He also suggested that some kind of "disaster" was averted when thousands of marchers came to Jena last week.

"I firmly believe and am confident of the fact that had it not been for the direct intervention of the Lord Jesus Christ last Thursday, a disaster would have happened," Walters said.
"The Lord Jesus Christ put his influence on those people, and they responded accordingly," he said, without explaining exactly what he meant.

Soon after the district attorney spoke, a local reverend took issue with his comments.
"Obviously, we are serving two different gods here," the Rev. Donald Sidley said. "My Bible says that we should do -- we should be loving, love your neighbor as yourself.
"For him to try and separate the community like he is and then using Christ Jesus to influence the people that Jesus is working on their side, well, that's -- that's absurd. ... God is god of the human race,"said Sidley, of the New Evergreen Church.
