Yoland 'Lala' Brown-featured singer of Lyfe Jennings, and boyfriend-murdered

Passing through concreteloop.com, I came across this post as I was preparing my exit (see below)
What is it going to take to stop the insanity?!

(emphasis, editing by Ivent)

Yolanda ‘Lala’ Brown, 21, best known for singing with Lyfe Jennings on the song, “S.E.X” (song about young ladies choosing abstinence over sex) was found murdered alongside her boyfriend in Milwaukee on Friday. I got a lot of emails about this yesterday but finally found a valid link.

A familiar voice to Milwaukee R & B fans has been silenced. Twenty-one year old Yolanda “La La” Brown and her producer, 22-year-old JeTannue Clayborn, were found dead in their recording studio Friday night.

Milwaukee police say both were found in the Loud Enuff Productionz studio at 55th and Lisbon. Both had gunshot wounds and had been dead at least a day before being discovered. They were reportedly dating.

JeTannue’s mother, Dina Chambers, describes him as energetic, with an eye toward making music his career. “He loved music. He loved people. He was very kind. They called him “Koo Laid” because every time you saw him, he was smiling.” [SOURCE]

According to one CL reader she was survived by a daughter. Horrible news. For the Lyfe Jennings video, please check after the jump.

*A MESSAGE FROM LALA’S UNCLE ROBERT*

This is La La’s uncle. On behalf of the family we thank you for your support. Although we are sad that she is not with us we will celebrate her life. She has touched the world with her God given talent.

Please, stop the killing. Stop it now. Money, hate, there are no reasons to take another life. Hug your child and tell them it’s not ok to kill. We will raise her daughter and celebrate La La’s life. -Robert

Tragic, tragic.

We extend our prayers and condolences to the families of Lala & JeTannue.

Two U.S. Sailors Slain at Base in Bahrain
source

CAIRO, Egypt (Oct. 22) -- A U.S. Navy sailor shot and killed two female sailors early Monday in the barracks an American military base in Bahrain, officials said.

The alleged shooter, a man, was critically wounded in the shooting at the U.S. Naval Support Activity Bahrain base, said a Navy official who was not authorized to release the information to the media and spoke on condition of anonymity.

In Washington, a State Department official said initial reports suggested the shooting was the result of a "love triangle." The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation was still under way.

The wounded sailor apparently shot himself, the Navy said. The three seemed to be acquainted, "but the extent of their relationships and the details of the shootings are still under investigation," it said in a statement.

The Navy said the shootings, which took place around 5 a.m. and forced the base to close for about an hour, were not terror related and only involved U.S. military personnel.

The Navy declined to release the names of those involved, saying their families had not been notified.

"The incident is under investigation, and it would not be prudent to discuss details at this time," said Navy spokesman Lt. John Gay.

Bahrain, a tiny island nation on the Persian Gulf, is a U.S. ally and home to the U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet, which is responsible for an area of about 2.5 million square miles of water including the Persian Gulf, Arabian Sea, Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Gulf of Oman and parts of the Indian Ocean.

About 3,600 personnel work on the U.S. Naval Support Activity Bahrain base, located just outside Bahrain's capital, Manama. The base supports U.S. naval ships in the region.

What is really going on??
The fact that this man could walk in and kill these women, is alarming.
Whatever happened, we know we'll never know the WHOLE truth...that's just how Uncle Sam rolls.
You Better Recognize extends prayers to all of the effected families, soldiers, and administrators!
You better recognize Uncle Sam, you need to get these soldiers evaluated so this can be nipped in the bud...something like this has the possibility of setting off copycats.

Kid Rock arrested after fight
source

ATLANTA (Reuters) - Musician Kid Rock was arrested on Sunday after a fight in a Waffle House restaurant in Atlanta just days after he scored his first No. 1 album on U.S. pop charts, police said.
DeKalb County police said they arrested Rock, 36, and five members of his entourage at 5:15 a.m. after an argument with a man who entered the Waffle House escalated into a fight.

"Rock along with five members of his entourage were charged with one count of battery, which is a misdemeanor. The victim ... was treated and released at a local hospital for his injuries," Mekka Parish, spokeswoman for DeKalb police, said.

The Waffle House pressed charges against the man involved in the fight with Rock's entourage after a window was punched out during the fight, which started inside but ended in the parking lot, Parish said.

She said Rock had given a concert in Atlanta earlier in the evening and left the scene on his tour bus after the fight. He was stopped and arrested about a mile down the road, Parish said. He
was released on bond later on Sunday.

Rock scored the first No. 1 album of his career on Wednesday with "Rock N Roll Jesus."

He Shot WHO 3 Times?! -UPDATE 2: JEALOUSY + GUN=DEADLY COMBINATION

(Tyler Peterson- gunman, killed 7 people including himself, below)

Wis. AG: Deputy Shot Himself 3 Times

CRANDON, Wis. (AP) - An off-duty sheriff's deputy who killed six people apparently shot himself three times, with the last shot hitting him in the right side of the head, the state attorney general said Tuesday. Tyler Peterson, 20, shot himself twice under the chin before firing the third and fatal shot, Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen said.

Peterson also was shot once in the left biceps from a distance. The six people who died early Sunday were either students or recent graduates of Crandon High School, where Peterson also had graduated. They were at the house to share pizza and watch movies during the school's homecoming weekend.

Peterson died in the woods near a friend's home in Argonne. The lone survivor was scheduled for surgery Tuesday. Van Hollen said Peterson went to Jordanne Murray's home about 2 a.m. and argued with her after accusing her of dating someone else. Murray demanded Peterson leave, and he did, only to return with an AR-15 rifle.

"He didn't speak, he simply opened fire," Van Hollen said. Investigators found three bodies on or next to a couch - Lindsey Stahl, 14; Aaron Smith, 20, and Bradley Schultz, 20. Murray, 18, was found in the kitchen. Lianna Thomas, 18, was found in a closet, and Katrina McCorkle, 18, was just outside it. Both had apparently been trying to hide, Van Hollen said. The last person shot was survivor Charlie Neitzel, 21. He pleaded with Peterson after the first shot, only to have him fire again, Van Hollen said. Neitzel fell to the floor, where he lay still as Peterson fired a third time. "Playing dead until Peterson left, Neitzel survived," Van Hollen said.

It wasn't clear whether Peterson was struck in the biceps before or after he shot himself. The shootings devastated Crandon, a tight-knit town of 2,000, where many people knew at least one of the victims. "It's an unbelievable, nightmarish thing," said Pastor Bill Farr of Praise Chapel Community Church, which all of the victims' families attend. "I keep thinking, like many of the families, that I'm going to wake up and this is not something that happened, that it's just going to be normal again. That's not going to be the case."

The victims' families have met with Peterson's family and "hold no animosity toward them," Van Hollen said. The families, the church and the town's one funeral home were still working on funeral arrangements Tuesday. Farr's wife, Sjana Farr, said Peterson's family had requested his funeral be last out of respect for the victims' families.
************
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the Crandon, WI victims. I pray that our Father in heaven, has mercy upon Tyler. Father, you knew what he was thinking. Though the crime was heinous, your blood covers even that sin. I pray that your peace be upon the families affected and they'll have peace that surpasses all understanding in Jesus' name.
Amen.

Was it Really That Serious, Loyer?

TWO STUDENTS QUESTIONED IN DELAWARE STATE SHOOTING: Campus put on lockdown Friday; two D.C. students hospitalized.
(September 24, 2007) source: eurweb.com

*Classes at historically black Delaware State University were cancelled and the campus put on lock down early Friday after the shooting of two students following an apparent argument.
University spokesman Carlos Holmes said police had identified "two persons of interest" -- both students -- one of whom was already in custody. He told reporters it appeared the shooting followed an argument in a campus cafeteria.

One of the wounded students was a female who had "potentially life-threatening" injuries, while the other, a male, was in "stable condition," at a local hospital, he said. Both are from Washington D.C. The female was shot twice and the male once.

Delaware State University Police Chief James Overton said in a statement that between 8 and 10 students had left a campus cafeteria between midnight and 1 a.m. and "a gun was produced in the area among those people and four to six shots were fired."

The university alerted students to the incident by telephone, the Web site and by flyers, a statement on its Web site said. Students and staff who were not on the campus were told to stay away until further notice. The university directed nonessential personnel not to report to work.

"I don't think any institution in the country did not learn from Virginia Tech and we certainly did," Holmes said on CNN when asked about decision to lock down the campus.

Founded in 1891, the historically black university has about 3,300 undergraduate students on a 400-acre residential campus about 100 miles northeast of D.C.

update: Arrest in University Shootings
Published: September 25, 2007

DOVER, Del., Sept. 24 (AP) — The police arrested an 18-year-old man Monday in last week’s shooting of two students at Delaware State University, the authorities said. As he was led into a courthouse, the man, Loyer D. Braden, told reporters, “I’m sorry.”

Mr. Braden, who is from East Orange, N.J., was charged with attempted murder, assault and reckless endangerment, and also faced a gun charge, according to court documents.
Mr. Braden appeared before a justice of the peace and was ordered held in $75,000 bail. He was also ordered to stay away from the victims and the university.

Nathaniel Pugh III and Shalita Middleton, two 17-year-old students from Washington, were hurt early Friday in the attack. Ms. Middleton suffered serious abdominal injuries from two gunshots and is hospitalized. Mr. Pugh was shot once in the ankle.
Mr. Braden was also accused of firing at a third student, James Richmond, according to the documents describing the reckless endangerment charge.

Four Dover police officers escorted Mr. Braden to the court on Monday afternoon with his hands cuffed and his legs shackled. In response to reporters’ questions, he said softly, “I’m sorry.” Asked what he was sorry for, he replied only, “She’s in the hospital.”

Mr. Braden graduated in June from Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair, N.J., where he played basketball and football.

Well, what can be said that hasn't been said over, and over, and over again??? Crime doesn't pay. You know you'll be locked up for a lonnng time. Is it worth it, Loyer? I'm not going to preach...it's all been said before. But this black-on-black crime HAS GOT (that's right I said "Got!") to stop!
Black people are protesting Mychal Bell's incarceration in Jena, LA and we have youth who commit crimes intentionally-knowing they'll end up behind bars! What is really going on?! I'm going to leave this one alone. My prayers are with all of the families, and in Jesus' name I pray that a laborer be sent to Loyer--there are many Christians who are incarcerated as well.

Youth- you BETTER recognize!!
