Well...Halle Could've Named The Baby "Grapefruit"

Halle Berry has revealed the name of her newborn daughter: Nahla Ariela Aubry.

The baby girl, who was born Sunday is the first for the Oscar winning actress and her model boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry.

A day after Nahla's birth, Aubry's sister, Eugenie, told PEOPLE, "It's been a long time since we've had a new baby in the family. It's very exciting."

Nahla means honeybee in Arabic, says Michael D. Cooperson, associate professor of Arabic at UCLA.

Hmmm. I guess after I say that name a couple of times it'll be cute to me. I like Shiloh, Harlow, Greer...heck I even like eccentric behind Tom Cruise baby name...Suri.
I know Gabriel ain't had nothin to do with choosin' the name. Oh well, I'm sure he's happy Nahla has his last name.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye A Child Has Been Born...

Like many of us women, Halle has been thru and seen some things! From discrimination due to her multi-ethnicity, to dad who's inactive in her life, to doggish-lowdown-dirty men (can I get an amen???) to failed marriages-Halle is proof that beauty don't mean a thang in the real world. Having said all of that, Halle has recently experienced one of the greatest miracles ever on Earth. The birth of your child. The pain ceases once that bundle of joy is placed in your hands...sigh...I remember-I remember. Hopefully- just like her pregnancy, her postpartum depression will be a breeze too!
*sidebar*I just wished I had the $$ to hire a nanny for my youngest. That rascal had colic like you wouldn't believe. I grimace to even flashback on that. *shiver* He's the quiet child, and my daughter whom I had to put a mirror under the nose to verify she was still with us, is the loud one! Isn't that crazy?? **end of sidebar**
I just wish Gabriel (Halle's baby-daddy) wasn't a statistic now. ( like many of us). He's now part of the "baby daddy/mama clique."
I'm sure Halle's back to her pre-pregnancy shape by now :(

*Oscar winning actress Halle Berry gave birth Sunday morning at Cedars Sinai hospital to a baby girl at approximately 10am!

The 7 lb 4 oz baby is the first child for he 41-year-old actress and her 32-year-old boyfriend Gabrielle Aubry.

Although the couple said they have no plans to marry, Berry told Oprah in an earlier interview, the two of them are fully committed to each other. They met in November 2005

Seriously, Halle was one of the best looking pregnant celebrities hands down. Some had good/bad days (pregnancy is hard, admittedly)-but you couldn't tell with Halle!
She was on the move with her basketball belly- with and without Gabriel. Girlfriend was doin the doggone thang!
I ain't mad at her!
The source didn't say, if she had baby naturally or not -just curious in light of her having Diabetes.

Boy, Girl Make Jennifer Lopez Mom For First Time

NEW YORK -- Jennifer Lopez gave birth to twins early Friday, making the singer and husband Marc Anthony the parents of a boy and a girl after one of pop music's most closely watched pregnancies.

Lopez representative Simon Fields told People magazine the babies were born shortly after midnight on New York's Long Island, with the 5-pound, 7-ounce girl arriving first, followed by her 6-pound brother minutes later. The location was not identified.




"Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon," Fields told the magazine.

Lopez' publicists and agent did not return telephone calls from The Associated Press early Friday.

Ending months of speculation, Lopez confirmed her pregnancy at a Miami concert in November. Her father, David Lopez, told Telefutura's "Escandalo TV" earlier this month that the 39-year-old singer was expecting twins.

Lopez and Anthony, 38, married in 2004. The twins are her first children, and his third and fourth. source

Nicole Richie, Joel Madden Have a Girl

Nicole Richie and her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden are the parents of a daughter, the couple's rep at Handprint Entertainment tells PEOPLE.

Harlow Winter Kate Madden was born Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz.

"The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents," says the rep, who confirmed the birth to PEOPLE exclusively.

Richie, 26, said she was pregnant in July, telling Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America: "I would really want to be someone my child would look up to."

Later, Richie, who had a famously wild childhood, said the idea of parenthood had made her more mature. "When I found out that I was pregnant, there was just something inside of me that felt a responsibility to mend any issues that I've had with my parents in the past, because, listen, I've put them through a lot," she said.

As for Good Charlotte frontman Madden, 28, he told PEOPLE in November he was looking forward to being a dad. "Having a baby is the most exciting thing that's ever happened to me, and to us," he said.

And the new parents plan to teach their little one the value of generosity. In December, the couple started the Richie Madden Children's Foundation to help the less fortunate. "We want our child to be a part of the community, and to know that there's a responsibility to help the community," Madden said at the time.

The couple have yet to set a wedding date, but in September Madden said "marriage is in our future" – he just wasn't sure when. "Right now our priority is our family and is the baby," he said. "That's all we've been thinking about. We are in love and are really happy." source

According to People, actress Courtney-Thorne Smith welcomed a boy, Comedian David Alan Grier and wife welcomed a girl, according to TMZ Christina Aguilera was in labor simultaneously as Nicole Richie and gave birth to a boy according to TMZ , and congratulations to actress Toni Collette who welcomed her first child, a daughter according to Yahoo!.
They've been busy last spring!!

I posted this story bcuz seriously, I was wondering if Nicole would be able to carry a healthy pregnancy. I don't believe I've posted anything about her previously. But I'm loving how healthy and mature she looks in the pic above! And that's a good birth size considering how petite she is.
Now...if only these celebrities can pop out some wedding vows in addition to poppin out babies ... lol
