Morgan Freeman in Car Wreck, MS

Although the 'jaws of life' had to be used to extract Morgan 'Don't Sweat The Small Stuff' Freeman out of his car- he was said to be conscious, lucid, talking and joking upon rescue.
That's ALWAYS a good sign! The accident happened last night (Sunday) in Mississippi, but he was flown to a nearby Memphis hospital.
Freeman was also heard joking, 'no freebies, no freebies,' when some rude behind opportunist attempted to take his pic with their cellphone. People can't be so stupid. smh
Anyhoooo, Freeman'll be around to make profoundly moving pics for years to come.
I'll keep u posted.

This Here Required Prayer and Fastin', ok???

Brandy, Not Charged in Fatal Crash

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- The Los Angeles city attorney's office said Friday it will not charge Brandy in a deadly December 2006 freeway crash.
Brandy

Brandy was involved in a fatal accident in December 2006.

Spokesman Nick Velasquez said there is "insufficient evidence" for a jury to find the 28-year-old actress-singer guilty of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter beyond a reasonable doubt.

The decision runs counter to a recommendation from the California Highway Patrol that Brandy, whose real name is Brandy Norwood, be charged in the December 30, 2006, crash.

Brandy was driving on a Los Angeles freeway when traffic slowed and her Land Rover smashed into the back of a Honda.

That car was involved in several other collisions. The driver, 38-year-old Awatef Aboudihaj, died in the accident.source

I KNOW Brandy's sleeping a lot better these days!
And I know a prayer warrior who was on the battlefield interceding for her baby Brandy-my aunt Ida.
Aunt Ida lives in ...well, I won't give the town but it's a rural town in Mississippi.
(no , I won't narrow it down!)
My aunt Ida has the faith of ...goodness, well she has the faith of Abraham.
SmileyCentral.com

She's my great aunt, and she's in her 80's and is the most soft spoken woman I've ever come across, except when she's praying!
Then a whole 'nother Aunt Ida comes out!
When I visited my aunty last year (my 1st visit to MS), she broke out with family albums and pointed out a young lady.
I'm like "yeah, ok."
She said, "that's your cuz Brandy."
Well, upon closer inspection it was Brandy, Brandy Norwood.
I heard she was part of my family, but had no evidence.
We had a new addition to the family this year- my cuz British (I LOVE HER NAME!) became a mom, and there's pics of Brandy w/British's baby-I cannot remember her child's name-we haven't seen Brit's baby yet :(
I said all of that to say this:
I don't care what a prophelying, prosperity preachin', candle making, gift selling, silver tongued pimp/pimptress talking, snake oil selling wanna be in the name of Jesus is prostituting.
NOTHING, and I MEAN NOTHING, will bring you closer to Christ than believing the word of God, applying the word to your life, and executing faith.
I KNOW Aunt Ida wailed, beseeched, pleaded and asked God for favor for Brandy.
I know she didn't waiver in her faith--Aunt Ida had too much peace!
My quiet aunty, with enough faith to tell Mt. Everest to "GET OUT OF HER WAY"
PRAYED & BELIEVED.
She didn't buy a prayer.
She didn't sow a seed in exchange for a blessing.
She did it the old fashioned way.
She went before the throne of Grace through Jesus...ALONE!

"...no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6b)
Notice, the scripture didn't say to come to Father God through Eddie Long, Dollar, White (insert name of person who is falsely teaching the Bible here) or by sowing a seed of faith.
No-just come by "me"-"me" being Jesus Christ.
He alone is worthy.
That is what aunt Ida did.
Am I saying Aunt Ida got Brandy off the hook?
Of course not-but I do know God's word says the
"...effectual fervent prayers of a righteous man, availeth much." (James 5:16b)
I know Aunt Ida is NOT surprised ONE BIT, by the outcome of this situation.
Her faith is like the acacia (shittim)tree (Ex. 25:23)...it doesn't rot.
Ever.
Keeping it real, I thought Brandy was going to get probation, to say the least.
smh
But God.
May we all come to a place of maturity like that of Abraham, my aunt Ida and all of the wonderful seasoned saints who know the power of God and isn't easily moved by circumstances!

And I know the heavens (and our family) will rejoice when Ray J gets over his...his...alternative career in "movies."
SmileyCentral.com
I mean his last CD was great! I don't understand why he took 4 steps backwards. Im sure people said the same thing about me...thank God for Bigma...another prayer warrior (may she r.i.p)!
I'm not worried...aunt Ida's praying for him too...and trust...so am I!

**UPDATE** This Is Why I'm Seriously Considering Moving Back To L.A.!

this is what I walked up to-aye yi yi

broom standing upright in the snow-unassisted

Son, handling his biz (2nd pic)

Ok, after 2 back-to-back phone calls warning me about my car getting possibly stuck,
I decided to bite the cold bullet and take my butt outside and attempt to dig (at least partially) my behind out.
Reports have come in about people being killed in car

accidents & dying from heart attacks as a result of shoveling this heavy snow. SmileyCentral.com

(other pics : my feet, snowdrift next to my car, right rearview of my car- look down at the trench!)

Therefore, I did what any self respecting parent would do--I TOOK MY KID WITH ME...that way we can die together!! LOL

Seriously though, my son is 16- and while some parents think that means their child is an indentured slave, I believe in riding and dying together.
We broomed(don't have a shovel living in an apt-I knew I should've kept 1!) and footed (used our feet to sweep away snow) together.
I have a Ford and it's front wheel drive, wouldn't you know it...the ONE TIME I didn't back in to my parking spot-I get a small wall of snow behind my rear tires!
Well, we cleared the snow and I jumped in my car, and SLOWLY backed out, making sure i didnt get stuck atop any snow drifts.

I drove forward and reverse several times, until I was satisfied with the path my tires created.
I then pulled out and backed into my parking spot-for ez exit in the morning.
Tonight, the temp will get down to 19degrees, which means rock salt will be necessary to roll over the sheet of ice that's coming tonight which means disaster during tomorrow's rush hour traffic.

It was afterwards, that I was reminded by mama of course, that I had AAA roadside assistance!

Well, it didn't kill me so I guess in some way, it'll make my son Tony and I stronger.

@Cop-I have NY in my prayers...thanks for keeping me in yours!

**UPDATE** Speaking Of Living On The Edge...Miracle

Man who drove off parking deck charged with DUI
SmileyCentral.com

Emergency workers rescued a man who was trapped in his car after it went over the railing in a parking deck and dangled seven floors above the ground.

Steel cables on the side of the parking caught the car late Wednesday. But all four wheels appeared free of the parking deck in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood.

Brant Sanderlin/AJC
Onlookers on the ground applauded the rescue at the parking deck, which is attached to the Realm condominiums in the 3300 block of Peachtree Road in Buckhead.

To reach the car without dislodging it, emergency workers went to the parking deck's top floor — one floor above the car — and rappelled down the side of the building. Then, a firefighter broke out the car's passenger side window, secured a harness around the driver and pulled him to safety, Atlanta Fire Capt. Bill May said.

Police Lt. Bob England said the car's air bag deployed, but the man hit his head on the windshield, knocking him unconscious and keeping him still while rescuers on the scene studied the precarious situation.

"It looks like he sped up the ramp and went right through the wires," England said. "The wires did what the wires are supposed to do."

The man, whose name was not immediately released, was brought to a hospital.

There's a saying that God protects "fools and babies."

In this instance, there seems to be some truth.

Just answer me this...how did that happen?!

Emergency workers rescued a man trapped inside a car teetering seven floors above the ground after it fell off the edge of a parking deck in Buckhead Wednesday night.

Steel cables on the side of the deck caught the car, but just barely. All four wheels appeared to be free of the deck as firemen and emergency workers struggled to reach the man.

The driver was conscious as he was pulled from the car and taken away on a stretcher. Onlookers on the ground applauded the rescue at the parking deck, which is attached to the Realm condominiums in the 3300 block of Peachtree Road in Buckhead.

To reach the car without dislodging it, emergency workers went to the deck's top floor, one story above the car, and rappeled down the side of the building.

They reached into open windows to slip a safety harness on driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, said an Atlanta Fire Department spokesman.

The driver's condition wasn't immediately known.

Because of the way the car was hung in the cables, rescuers were unable to open the car's doors and instead reached through open windows to get to the man.

"The firefighters did a great job I'll have to give them that. That's a very unusual rescue."

said Lt. Bob England of the Atlanta Police Department.

England said the car's airbag deployed, but the man hit his head on the windshield, knocking him unconscious and keeping him still while the first rescuers on the scene studied the precarious situation.

"It looks like he sped up the ramp and went right through the wires," England said. "The wires did what the wires are supposed to do."

What's Happening Around My Neck Of The Woods: So Unbelievable, It Must Be True

Mom, Dad Accused Hours Apart Of DWI
Each Parent Had Child In Car

YPSILANTI, Mich. -- A married couple were arrested within hours, each on suspicion of drunken driving.

First the husband, then his wife were arrested.

Police in a Michigan town said they stopped the man and gave him a preliminary breath test after watching him allegedly run a red light.

Police said the test registered above the legal .08 drunken driving limit.

He had his 12-year-old son in the car with him, and police told the boy to call his mother to pick him up.

After she arrived, with her 9-year-old daughter in the car, police said, the woman was tested and also found to be legally drunk.

Both children were turned over to a relative until the parents were determined to be sober.

Hmmm, sounds like a match made in hell.
Despite the shaky foundation these parents have given their children,
I'm hoping the siblings will be able to overcome their circumstances.
Being the "child" of an alcoholic, is not a walk in the park-I have first hand experience. I put quotations around the word "child" because when your parent is an addict, regardless of their drug of choice, you're no longer a child once you're aware of their dependency.
You become the parent, and they become the child.
I pray these children make it.
