Latina Williams' Mother Speaks...

LA Tech Shooter, Latina Williams

Latina Williams' Mother Releases Statement regarding the LA Technical College Tragedy
Thanks, Deidra

UPDATE: Jennie Williams, the mother of accused shooter, Latina Williams, released a statement Saturday through the Baton Rouge Police Department. The family requests that the media respect their privacy and not contact them during this difficult time. The statement follows:

"We offer our deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of Karsheika Graves and Tanieshia Butler. Our hearts go out to all of you.

In this tragedy, just like you, we have many questions but no answers. As Latina's mother, I will not try to rationalize or make excuses for her action. It was wrong.

I know nothing I can say will make this situation any better, but I am so very sorry for your pain and loss. I pray God will give you strength to come through this.

I will be haunted to the end of my days by what my child has done."

There will be a candlelight memorial vigil to honor the victims of the shooting. It is scheduled for Sunday evening at 5:15.

~~~~~~
Keeping it real-looking at her pic-I'd never guess in a million years, Latina Williams would be capable of pulling a trigger on two people let alone herself.
My mind is blown away.
What in Latina's world, happened that made her snap?
We know of situations with other shooters...what made Latina, "go there?"
I wonder if we'll ever know.
I pray that God covers and protects the victims' children. That their steps are ordered and God protect them from hurt, harm, and danger, which may be a direct result of losing their moms in such a tragic way.
Lord i ask that forgiveness be the families' portion.
I pray for peace in Jesus' name-amen.
Letting Go Is The Hardest Part....
A piece of my heart is in Cali...
Last night, 01.19.08, I watched a piece of my heart board a plane to California.
My daughter Nesa, felt impeded living in Mi, and as a show of support I offered to help remedy that.
In venting to my lil sis-who comments on here as " Yo' Sista" (she's so original, lol)-she offered to help my baby, by offering her home to her.
It was sooo unexpected I broke down in tears. (yes, I did)
In what had to be the quickest passage of time, 30 days came and went, and it was time to drive my baby to the airport.
She chose the right day-so far it was the coldest day of 2008. A bitter, wintry cold that meant uncertain death for some unfortunate souls.
My daughter is the spitting image of me.
Her face is her father's, but my daughter is a WWC (Women With Curves) member-like mommy, but not only that:
she loves hard
she's loyal
loves to laugh
is staunch in her opinions
stands by her convictions
a procrastinator :)
is smart
blunt
will apologize if she's offended
fights for the underdog
believes it takes a village to raise a child
doesn't like change, but will change eventually
needs to know (by verbal and physical actions) that she's loved
needs encouragement and guidance
and is crazy in love with Christ.
(fuzzy pic, but look how much taller my daughter is!!)
Our relationship is a testimony to Christ.
We've been thru hell and high water as our relationship did a nosedive into hatred and rebellion, which in turn lead to an extremely tumultuous period during her teenage years (14-17).
She blamed me for her life, and her father's lack of participation in said life.
She strongly disliked me and vice versa.
She's lived between my home and her paternal aunt.
We survived.
Things changed on her graduation day from high school.
She thanked me for raising her, and for my not allowing her to be a wildchild on the street.
I've since had to step back and watch her evolve into the woman that God not mom, has called her to be.
(Nesa w/ Mama Ivent-mama took Nesa's leaving worse than I did!)
Lil' Mama,
I know you'll read this-
(since you've already checked in YBR! Thanks 4 leaving mom a comment!)
I want you to know as I've said a million times, I AM SO PROUD OF U!
Do NOT let people's negative actions, words or deeds-clip your wings!
Nesa, you are an Eagle, so soarrrrrr!
Remember just as the Eagle has these characteristics, so do you-
Eagles:
  • Have Vision: Continue to see into your future. Remain focused, and continue to write the vision down and make it plain so God can manifest it. Think BIG if you want BIG RESULTS!!
  • Eagles NEVER eat dead meat: Go where the action is. You're the hunter-don't let someone do the work and you get the leftovers. Go after what it is you want!
  • Looks for and flies into storms: Don't let this scare you! Eagles use the storm to lift him to these great heights. You, Nesa will use storms (challenges) to make you a better person. How will you know your resilience-if you're not bent and bounced around by life, sometimes?? Accept the storms (challenges) you can't stop them from happening. You'll grow to learn this: storms are tools used to develop you.
  • *Remember: life at times is like driving on a sheet of ice on MI streets. You can't keep your car from sliding, but you can keep it from getting worse. Do you remember how? Stay calm, take your foot off the brake, and turn the steering wheel in the same direction as the skid (storm), not the opposite. In other words, work with the storm, skid, challenge-don't fight it. You'll only prolong the skid, and it can end disastrously.*
  • Are Very Gentle & Attentive To (Their) Young: Nesa, God has imparted into you a great love for young people. You know what they need, when they need it. Continue to love, hug, kiss, and encourage young people. Especially those whose only point of contact may be you. I've observed you with pride as you've interacted with children, and in speaking with friends,I've referred to you as the Pied Piper of Children. Your loyalty knows no bounds and thank you for getting little kids ready for school when their mamas' wouldn't. You've combed hair, gotten them dressed, seen them off to bus stops, and were home when they arrived from school. All this and you have no children of your own. You are such a blessing! You may have grown weary, but you never fainted, and God will reward your faithfulness and diligence. Eagle Characteristics
***
As I've said to you and your brother, "I didn't raise y'all, y'all raised me!" lol
I thank God for my two motivators and I can't wait to see you in Cali.
Thank you, my China doll for allowing me the privilege of being your mother.
You'll always inspire me to be and do better.
Love you Shmeeny,
Mommy :)
And How Was YOUR Day At Work??
Mich. man learns co-worker is birth mom
source
SmileyCentral.com
PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Steve Flaig's long search for his birth mother ended at an incredible place: the checkout line of the home-improvement store where he works.
Flaig had met Christine Tallady after she started working at Lowe's several months ago, but it was only recently that the 22-year-old delivery driver figured out she was the woman who had given him up for adoption. It took him a few weeks, and some help from the adoption agency, to give her the news.
"I would walk by her, look at her from a distance, not knowing how to approach her," Flaig told The Grand Rapids Press for a story published Wednesday. "You don't come stocked with information on how to deal with this."
With support from his adoptive parents, Flaig had asked the agency, DA Blodgett for Children, for information on his birth mother when he turned 18. Tallady, who was single and not ready to be a mother when she gave birth to Flaig in 1985, had left the adoption record open, figuring he would want to contact her one day.
Flaig received information, including Tallady's name, but Internet searches turned up nothing. He didn't make the connection after meeting his birth mother because he didn't know her last name.
In October, Flaig looked at the paperwork again and realized he had been spelling Tallady's surname wrong. He soon came up with a home address around the corner from where he was raised, and less than a mile from the Lowe's in Plainfield Township, just outside Grand Rapids.
When he mentioned it to his boss, she said, "You mean Chris Tallady, who works here?"
"I was like, there's no possible way," Flaig said.
On Dec. 12, Flaig happened to be driving past DA Blodgett's offices, so he stopped in and told them of his find. An employee there volunteered to call Tallady for him.
Tallady, head cashier at the Lowe's, was astonished to learn that the son she had given up for adoption 22 years earlier was a co-worker.
"I started crying," the 45-year-old said. "I figured he would call me sometime, but not like this."
Flaig said he is eager to meet Tallady's other two children, 12-year-old Alexandria and 10-year-old Brandon, his half siblings.
***
That IS a wonderful Xmas present.
I pray the transition is smooth and blessed!
"I have a complete family now, all my kids," Tallady said. "It's a perfect time of year. It's the best Christmas present ever.
Riley Didn't Say "Please," or "Yes Sir"
Stepfather Beat Girl to Death, Lawyer Says
HOUSTON (Nov. 28) - The stepfather of a 2-year-old girl lost control and beat her to death because she wouldn't say "please" and "yes sir," an attorney for the girl's mother said Wednesday.A body found last month in Galveston Bay is believed to be that of the little girl, Riley Ann Sawyers, though DNA tests are pending. Her mother, Kimberly Dawn Trenor, and stepfather, Royce Clyde Zeigler II, were arrested Saturday.
Police said the body of a toddler found in Galveston Bay, Texas, last month is likely that of Riley Ann Sawyers, 2. Authorities had released an artist's rendering of the onetime mystery child, whom they called "Baby Grace."
According to court documents, Trenor, 19, told police she and her husband killed the girl in July and hid her body in a shed before dumping it in the bay.Trenor's attorney, Tommy Stickler Jr., said Zeigler, 24, was overwhelmed by his sudden fatherhood and didn't know what behavior to expect from a toddler. Trenor moved with her daughter from Mentor, Ohio, to Texas in June to be with Zeigler, whom she met online.Zeigler wanted his wife to spank Riley with a belt when she failed to say things like "please" and "yes sir" or "no sir," Stickler said Wednesday.
Zeigler didn't believe Trenor was doing it, however, because the 2-year-old's behavior wasn't changing.The fatal beating happened after Zeigler stayed home from work to make sure his wife was following his discipline plan, Stickler said.In her statement to Galveston authorities, Trenor said the girl was beaten with leather belts, had her head held underwater in a bathtub and then was thrown across a room, her head slamming into a tile floor.Although the affidavit said the couple abused Riley over a four- to six-hour period, Stickler said it wasn't a continuous event.
Instead, Zeigler grew increasingly enraged as he spanked Riley and she kept forgetting to do things the way he wanted."There was never an intention to beat Riley to death," he said.At one point, Trenor wanted to call an ambulance but Zeigler wouldn't let her, saying they would both be arrested if officials saw her injuries, Stickler said. Instead, Riley was given some over-the-counter pain medication.When Riley later stopped breathing, Zeigler performed CPR on her tiny body, Stickler said.Neal Davis III, Zeigler's attorney, said Trenor's story isn't believable."
She is placing all the blame on Royce, but I think that once the facts come to light, once the timeline's established and the evidence is combed through ... I think her credibility is gonna become a big issue," Davis said.Trenor and Ziegler were arrested after investigators spent weeks trying to identify the girl they dubbed "Baby Grace," whose body was found in a plastic box floating in Galveston Bay. Riley's paternal grandmother in Ohio had called police, thinking a sketch of the dead child might have been the granddaughter she hadn't seen in months.Trenor and Zeigler remained jailed Wednesday on charges of injury to a child and tampering with evidence. Bail was set at $350,000 each. Stickler also said Wednesday that Trenor is pregnant.
Last Update on Riley Sawyers aka Baby Grace until these jokers are sentenced**Contains Graphic Detail on How child was hurt*
Due to the nature of this case, I will not post any further until these jokers are sentenced ...unless it's extremely relevant to Riley Ann
(CNN) -- Before dying, two-year-old Riley Ann Sawyers was beaten with belts, picked up by her hair, thrown across the room and held under water, according to an affidavit from the Galveston County Sheriff's Office.
Police believe 2-year-old Riley Ann Sawyers is "Baby Grace."
The affidavit says the mother, Kimberly Dawn Trenor, described to police how her daughter died and was put in a plastic storage box that the mother and her boyfriend, Royce Zeigler, later dumped into a Galveston waterway.
Trenor told police Zeigler tried to commit suicide the weekend before Thanksgiving, and wrote a note that said "My wife is innocent of the sins that I committed."
The body of the then-unidentified toddler was found on October 29. A fisherman found Riley's body stuffed inside a blue Sterilite plastic container that washed up on an uninhabited island in Galveston's West Bay.
A medical examiner said the child's skull was fractured, and a forensic dentist estimated her age at 2 to 3 years.
Police dubbed the child "Baby Grace." A police artist's sketch of her was widely circulated in the news media, and prompted a call to Galveston police from Riley's grandmother in Ohio, who had not seen the girl in months.
On Saturday, police arrested Trenor and Zeigler on charges of injuring a child and tampering with physical evidence, the sheriff's department said. Their bonds were set at $350,000 each.
The affidavit, obtained by CNN, says when police interviewed Trenor on November 23, she "gave a voluntary statement on video with her attorney present where she described her involvement with Royce Clyde Zeigler, II, in the physical abuse, death and disposal of the remains of her daughter, Riley Ann Sawyers."
Trenor's statement said on July 24, she and Zeigler both beat the child with leather belts and held her head under water in the bathtub. She said Zeigler picked the girl up by her hair and also threw her across the room, slamming her head into the floor.
That night, Trenor's statement said, she and Zeigler went to a Wal-Mart and bought the Sterilite container, a shovel, concrete mix, and other supplies. The statement said the box containing the child's body was hidden in a storage shed for "one to two months." Then, Trenor said, she and Zeigler carried it to the Galveston Causeway and tossed it in, and she saw it drifting away.
Riley Ann's father, Robert Sawyers, on Monday tearfully remembered her as a "fun-loving girl ... with a big imagination." Video Watch Riley Ann's father describe the little girl »
Riley Ann was "very active, very hyper, but also very well-behaved," Sawyers told reporters in Mentor, Ohio.
She would play "with a water hose ... spraying the whole patio soaking wet until she was done with it," he said, as he sat behind two photographs of his daughter, a toddler with wispy blond curls.
Robert Sawyers' mother, Sheryl Sawyers, said the family was "devastated" to learn that police believe Riley Ann is dead.
"It's hard to think that I'll never see her again," she said, clutching a red Elmo doll she had planned to give Riley for Christmas.
Maj. Ray Tuttoilmondo of the Galveston County Sheriff's Department said Monday that authorities are "fairly confident" that the toddler whose body was found on October 29 is Riley Ann Sawyers.
DNA analysis is still in progress to confirm the identification. The results will be available in two to three weeks, Tuttoilmondo said.
Tuttoilmondo said Riley Ann was originally from Mentor, Ohio, a Cleveland suburb, and that "she and her mother came down to Texas earlier this year."
The toddler was last seen in Texas "three or four months ago," Tuttoilmondo said, although he did not know by whom.
Tuttoilmondo said police did investigate whether Child Protective Services had taken Riley Ann away, something the mother had reportedly alleged. Of that report, Tuttoilmondo said, "What we believe is that is not what happened."
Sheryl Sawyers said it didn't make sense that authorities would remove the girl without an investigation.
"None of it made any sense," she said of Trenor's story.
Trenor left Ohio in late May, after filing an allegation of domestic violence against Robert Sawyers and reaching a joint voluntary agreement that gave her custody of Riley Ann and gave Robert Sawyers visitation rights, the Sawyers' family lawyer said Monday.
"She disappeared," Laura DePledge said Monday at the Ohio news conference with the Sawyers.
DePledge said the Sawyers had no knowledge of Trenor's whereabouts after she left Ohio. Sheryl Sawyers said Monday that she saw widely distributed police sketches of "Baby Grace" and contacted Galveston police in November. The girl in the police sketches strongly resembles photos of Riley Ann.
"No, I never did think it would end up like this," Sheryl Sawyers said Monday, eyes welling. "I guess knowing is better than not knowing."
The girl's family in Ohio has been "very helpful" in this case, Tuttoilmondo said, adding that the FBI and a Galveston County police officer visited the family in Ohio on Sunday.
DePledge said Riley Ann was the product of a "teenage pregnancy." Trenor and Robert Sawyers were together for two years as a result of the pregnancy, DePledge said, during which time they lived with Sheryl Sawyers.
DePledge said Monday that the family, whose grief she described as "simply overwhelming," wants Riley Ann's body returned to Ohio for a memorial service. "What Riley needs is to be brought home," she said. "I think this family needs some closure."
Tuttoilmondo asked anyone who knew the child or her family to help detectives reconstruct the events of Riley's short life
The toddler's case has touched even hardened police officers, he said. "Any way you look at it, we carry a piece of her with us, and we'll always carry a little piece of her with us," he said Monday.
He held up a small, pink-and-white shoe identical to those the child was wearing when she was found. "That says it all. A little-bitty shoe."
Amanda, Why did you kill Devon???
Mother Charged With Murder In Child's Death
source
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Greenville County Sheriff's Office said Monday that murder charges have been filed against the mother of a 7-year-old boy, who told investigators that her child was smothered by a carjacker.
VIDEO: News 4 Interview With Devon Epps' Father
VIDEO: Sheriff Steve Loftis Statement On Investigation
Devon Epps died from asphyxiation due to neck compression on Aug. 12.
Greenville County Sheriff Steve Loftis said that the child's mother, Amanda Smith, was arrested and charged Monday and is jailed at the county detention center without bond.
Smith was arrested Monday at work at a restaurant on East North Street.
Loftis made the announcement Monday afternoon at a news conference outside the Greenville County Law Enforcement Center, flanked by investigators and 13th Circuit Solicitor Bob Ariail, who will prosecute the case.
Smith told Greenville County investigators in August that a man with a knife forced his way into her car on an Interstate 85 frontage road and smothered the child with a pillow in the back seat.
She gave a sketch artist a description of a man she said killed her child, but investigators came up empty in their search, following more than 60 possible leads.
But Loftis said that Smith's account of the story did not hold up under investigation and that information deputies gathered kept pointing back to her as the likely killer.
"As the investigation progressed ... we kept running into dead ends," Loftis said. "Every thing we found out kept pointing back to Amanda Smith."
Since her son's death, Smith has not spoken publicly about the case.
Devon's grandfather, Thomas Epps, said that the arrest was not a shock.
"No I'm not surprised. I knew all along she done it," Epps said. "I said in my heart I knew she done it."
A month ago, Devon's great aunt had gone on cable television to say that there were holes in the story Smith told investigators about his death.
Diane Jacques talked to CNN host Nancy Grace in September about her nephew's unsolved homicide.
"What person's going to take the time out to roll the windows up and lock the door," Jacques said. "And describing the guy as being so many feet high and 200 pounds in her car in the back seat. There's no way."
***
Only God in heaven can judge, but I do ask this question:
What in the world, could Devon had possibly done that would cause his mother to kill him?
My son and I viewed Devon's pic (above) and I said Devon looks like the kind of kid you could sit on the couch, watch videos with, share a bag of micro popcorn and kick your feet up on the coffee table. My son agreed. He looks like he had a hearty laugh too :)
Why didn't she just give Devon to his dad??
Only Amanda can answer the question.
I also would be interested to know the description of the "imaginary carjacker."
Like my friend Nat says, "it'll all come out in the wash."
Devon, r.i.p.
Etterlene Debarge aka Mama Debarge has written a book. Based on the infamy (Chico, El, James among others) of several of her children (including recently El's domestic violence charge), I know she had to get a lot off her chest. It's apparent this woman of strength has "seen some thangs" and the book, I'm sure will prove to be inspirational to many. Etterlene has been a victime of abuse also at the hands of her first husband-but she pulls through while giving God all the glory.
This Is Why Kids Act The Way They Do...
Mother Assaults Students At School (Detroit, MI)
source
Noble Middle School was locked down on Tuesday and a student’s mother was taken into custody after a fight escalated.
Two girls got into a fight in the lunchroom at Noble Middle School on Fullerton Road.
One of the girls called her mother for help, police said. The mother arrived with two men.
School officials said the adults walked through the front doors of the school. Police said the mother assaulted and confronted students.
“They came through the front door, they didn't come through the side, they walked in and started attacking kids and they injured my child. I'm on my way to the hospital now to take my child,” Linda Finley, a mother.
The woman was taken into custody and the lockdown was lifted.
She should be embarrassed. I hope Lara Finley, press charges.
This is not an isolated incident in Detroit.
This type of behavior is reported at least once a year. That's one too many.
In addition to the mother, there were 2 men. This was MIDDLE SCHOOL, for goodness sakes.
YPSILANTI, Mich. -- A married couple were arrested within hours, each on suspicion of drunken driving.
First the husband, then his wife were arrested.
Police in a Michigan town said they stopped the man and gave him a preliminary breath test after watching him allegedly run a red light.
Police said the test registered above the legal .08 drunken driving limit.
He had his 12-year-old son in the car with him, and police told the boy to call his mother to pick him up.
After she arrived, with her 9-year-old daughter in the car, police said, the woman was tested and also found to be legally drunk.
Both children were turned over to a relative until the parents were determined to be sober.
Hmmm, sounds like a match made in hell.
Despite the shaky foundation these parents have given their children,
I'm hoping the siblings will be able to overcome their circumstances.
Being the "child" of an alcoholic, is not a walk in the park-I have first hand experience. I put quotations around the word "child" because when your parent is an addict, regardless of their drug of choice, you're no longer a child once you're aware of their dependency.
You become the parent, and they become the child.
I pray these children make it.
Lady, Your Family Has Issues!
Girl: Mom forcefully had my genitalia pierced
Mother allegedly tried to make sex uncomfortable for 13-year-old daughter
source
NAPLES, Fla. - A 39-year-old woman forcefully had her 13-year-old daughter’s genitalia pierced to make it uncomfortable for her to have sex, the girl told jurors in her mother’s child abuse trial.
The girl, now 16, told jurors Wednesday that her mother asked a tattoo artist friend in 2004 to shave the girl’s head to make her unattractive to boys and later held her down for the piercing.
“She was trying to protect me, but it hurt me,” the girl testified. “It not only hurt me physically, but it hurt me mentally. ... That’s emotionally scarring. That’s physical abuse.”
Prosecutor Steve Maresca said the mother called on a friend to shave the girl’s head and do the piercing after realizing that she had been having sex, including with the mother’s boyfriend.
Defense attorney Donald Day told jurors that the mother had trouble with her rebellious daughter and that the girl agreed to the piercing to help rebuild her mother’s trust.
“It wasn’t torture or extreme violence,” Day said. “It was, in the young girl’s words, to try to save her. ... That decision was a last-ditch effort. In my client’s mind, she had no other options.”
Child welfare officials were called after the girl became infected from the piercing.
The mother, whose name is being withheld to protect her daughter’s identity, is charged with two counts of aggravated child abuse and faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
Tammy Meredith, 43, who did the piercing in her home, was sentenced to a year in jail for her role. An arrest warrant has been issued for the mother’s boyfriend on allegations he had sex with the girl.
You know what, I'm going to leave this story alone except for this:
If her daughter was screwing around with her boyfriend-as a way of protection, why didn't she get that perv locked up, instead of choosing body piercing??
Mother Arrested After Boy Calls 911 About Her Driving
source
VANCOUVER, Wash. -- A woman was arrested Sunday for investigation of drunken driving and other charges following repeated calls to 911 from her 8-year-old son, who was in the car, Clark County sheriff's deputies said.
Paulette Lynn Spears, 33, who lives in the Minnehaha area east of Vancouver, was arrested Saturday evening after she drove to a fire station and said she had a medical problem. Guided by her son's description of what he could see from the car, as well as by global positioning technology to track the phone calls, deputies arrived less than a minute later.
Emergency dispatchers received a report of a four-door Nissan sedan being driven erratically four minutes before the first call from her son, sheriff's Sgt. Randon M. Walker said.
"He said 'I don't know where we are, and Mom's not acting normal,"' Walker said.
As the operator began asking the boy for landmarks and the direction the car was traveling, Walker said, Spears took the cellular telephone from the boy, told the dispatcher not to worry and hung up.
The boy called back, and again his mother cut short the call, Walker said.
"The mother kept interrupting the 8-year-old," he said. "It happened at least twice."
At one point, Walker said, Spears apparently bit the boy's hand to get the telephone away from him.
The boy and a younger child, 5, who was also in the car, were placed with an aunt. As of Monday, Spears remained in jail for investigation of drunken driving, two counts of reckless endangerment and assault of a child. Records show she has at least one conviction for drunken driving.
That kid is a hero in my book.
He saved her life, his sister's life & his.
That was courage, and the fact that he could tell she was driving erratic , tells me she was 3 sheets to the wind.
Kids don't usually pay attention the way parents drive.
She's in serious-this being her second time...tsk, tsk.
She'll thank him one day..he just wanted to live. That's all.
Mychal Bell’s Parents, Others Seeking His Release Set to Meet with Gov. Kathleen Blanco
Date: Wednesday, September 26, 2007By: Sherrel Wheeler Stewart, BlackAmericaWeb.com
The parents of a jailed Jena, Louisiana teen and civil rights leaders are scheduled to take their pleas for the release of Mychal Bell directly to Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco in a Wednesday meeting at the state capital.
Bell, one of six black youths dubbed the Jena Six, has been locked up for about 10 months in connection with a fight with a white classmate. That case attracted thousands to the central Louisiana town last week in what was one of the biggest civil rights marches in recent history.
On Tuesday, Bell’s mother, Melissa Bell, met in Washington, D.C., with members of the Congressional Black Caucus and Al Sharpton. Today, Melissa Bell is to be joined by Sharpton and Martin Luther King III in the meeting with Blanco.
Texas Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee, who organized Tuesday’s meeting, told BlackAmericaWeb.com, “We must now apply pressure in the right places.” Blanco has said that Louisiana’s constitution, which provides for a separation of powers, prevents her from intervening in the case at the time. But, Jackson-Lee said, Blanco "must render justice, and not excuses.”
On the Michael Baisden show, Al Sharpton was quoted as saying that state of LA was basically "holding Mychal Bell" hostage. Seeing as how LA has no reason to hold Mychal Bell. The charges were overturned, and bail is not posted.
We really are "...ONE nation, under God. With LIBERTY AND JUSTICE, for all." NOT!
This is where faith in God comes in. We can't believe the report of man. When God opens a door, no one can close it-and when He closes the door, no one can open it. This will be a closed door in Mychal's life soon enough. It is in the hands of the Lord.
You betta recognize...this is real life. The life and plight of the black individual in the United States.
