Kanye Speaks About His Mom...

I believe in keeping it real at all times--and everyone can't handle that...

Having said that, great interest has been generated concerning the welfare of Kanye West. Below is a video of Kanye speaking about his mom...for those of you who wants to act brand new and act as if you've never heard, said, or entertained the thought of a curse word -i'm going to call you a liar (start forgiving me now) and then I'll gently suggest you skip this post, and go to my next one. Piety is not welcome on this here post.

Understandably this young man has anger.
These are not MY WORDS, they're his.
Some parts of the video is muffled...for a transcript of Kanye's words click here:
read Kanye's Words

-My prayer for Kanye is that after some of the pain recedes he's able to allow God to come in and minister to the dark recesses of pain. HE is able.

This Should Be Interesting...

**Not too long ago, I asked "Why is McClurkin rolling with Obama?" click here I posed that question, because although Obama spouted he was a Christian, his words spoke contrary. Now it's being reported, A GAY MINISTER will join Obama's Gospel Tour!!!

From the giddy-up, I did not jump on the Obama train. Why should i? Cuz he's black???? NOT. When he made his debut appearance on Oprah, a while ago, I was left scratching my head in wonderment. I could not understand what the big deal was?! He was unsure of himself at times, he wasn't prolific, and I sat there waiting for something profound to come out of his mouth, only to be disappointed-or proved right. I don't get it, how people are so busy trying NOT to offend people by giving in, that it ends up being an insult to my sanity, & rationale. For clarification purposes I want to emphasize when I say "offend people", I mean when it comes between alienating people, or alienating God (and YOU'RE A CHRISTIAN) hands down, favoring God should be the obvious choice. I STILL SAY NO to the Obama train, and out of curiosity I want to know:

Will McClurkin still go on tour???? Again, this should be interesting.

Gay Minister Joins Obama Gospel Tour in S.C.
source

WASHINGTON - (AP) In response to an uproar from gay activists, Democrat Barack Obama's presidential campaign on Wednesday added a gay minister to the lineup for its weekend gospel tour.

Gay activists had criticized Obama's "Embrace the Change" tour in South Carolina because the performers included gospel singer Donnie McClurkin, who says homosexuality is a choice.

Obama's campaign invited Rev. Andy Sidden (pic, above r), a South Carolina pastor who is openly gay, to appear on Sunday in Columbia. Obama discussed Sidden's inclusion Thursday with Joe Solmonese, president of the Human Rights Campaign, which supports gay rights.

In a statement, Solmonese said he thanked Obama for including Sidden but told the Illinois senator he was disappointed McClurkin will remain part of the program.

"There is no gospel in Donnie McClurkin's message for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people and their allies," Solmonese said. "That's a message that certainly doesn't belong on any presidential candidate's stage."

McClurkin is a Grammy Award winner who performed at the Republican National Convention in 2004. He told AP Radio in an interview that September that he was "once involved with those desires and those thoughts," but God turned him away from them.

Obama has spoken out against homophobia, including in the black community. He supports civil unions for same-sex couples but not the right for gay marriage.

Why Is McClurkin Rollin' with Obama, anyway???

OBAMA PRESSURED TO DROP DONNIE McCLURKIN FROM TOUR: Gay rights groups say singer spreads false information about homosexuality.source

*Barack Obama is being pressured by a gay rights group to remove gospel star Donnie McClurkin from his fund-raising tour because of the singer's views on homosexuality.

The artist, who has spoken openly about his belief that sexual preference is a choice, reiterated his stance Monday in a telephone interview with the Associated Press, stating: "I don't believe that it is the intention of God. Sexuality, everything is a matter of choice."

McClurkin – who is among several gospel singers scheduled to raise money for the Democratic presidential candidate at a concert in South Carolina this weekend – said he does not believe in discriminating against homosexuals.

"What people do in their bedrooms and who they are as human beings are two different things," he said.

In a statement, Obama said he believes gays and lesbians are "our brothers and sisters" and should be afforded the same respect, dignity and rights granted all other citizens.

"I have consistently spoken directly to African-American religious leaders about the need to overcome the homophobia that persists in some parts our community so that we can confront issues like HIV/AIDS and broaden the reach of equal rights in this country," Obama said. "I strongly believe that African Americans and the LGBT community must stand together in the fight for equal rights. And so I strongly disagree with Reverend McClurkin's views and will continue to fight for these rights as president of the United States to ensure that America is a country that spreads tolerance instead of division."

The statement, however, did not specify whether McClurkin has been booted from the tour.

"We strongly urge Obama to part ways with this divisive preacher who is clearly singing a different tune than the stated message of the campaign," Wayne Besen, executive director of Truth Wins Out, said in a statement.

In 2004, McClurkin performed at the Republican National Convention and told AP Radio at the time that he was "once involved with those desires and those thoughts," which he attributed to being raped at 8 and 13.
"That's what thrust me into it, and then God delivered me from that and gave me back who I really am and my true purpose," McClurkin said.

****
Ok. Issue. McClurkin is quoted as saying:
"I don't believe that it is the intention of God. Sexuality, everything is a matter of choice."
What does he mean by, "I don't believe...?"
I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt-THAT'S NOT GOD'S INTENTION!!
God doesn't care if WE believe it or not. He clearly speaks of men lying with men, having unnatural affection etc.
What's up with these politically-correct pastors who are afraid of offending folks?
Was Christ or Apostle Paul politically correct?

Question. Why are McClurking and Obama rolling together, anyway?
Obama's pro-choice source
Obama claims christian, and marriage is between man and woman, but then he says this:
"I'm a Christian. And so, although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue, I do believe that tradition, and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman," Obama said.

Obama said he would not let his religious beliefs dictate the way he approaches public policy. He said he would supports civil unions between gay and lesbian couples, as well as letting individual states determine if marriage between gay and lesbian couples should be legalized.

"Giving them a set of basic rights would allow them to experience their relationship and live their lives in a way that doesn't cause discrimination," Obama said. "I think it is the right balance to strike in this society." source

Excuse me, but isn't civil unions supposed to be a marriage-type situation??
And this "christian" said he would support civil unions???
What is wrong with this picture?
It's called sending "mixed messages."
Family, you better recognize-its important to pay attention to what the candidates are saying. You can't be all things to all people.

Sorry Obama, you don't have my vote. McClurkin-u better learn how to take a stand.

Beyonce wows fans in Ethiopia
source

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia - Beyonce Knowles joined the
millennium celebrations in Ethiopia with a spirited concert in the capital of the Horn of Africa nation.

Some 5,000 adoring fans in Ethiopia — a country normally unimpressed by Western music — turned out to see Beyonce. In this country, even teens tend to be loyal to music in the national language, Amharic. But Beyonce got a hysterical welcome when she came onstage.

"I want to thank you," the R&B star told the screaming crowd Saturday evening in return. "You have been one of the best audiences of my lifetime."

In a country where many women wear simple white, cotton dresses, Beyonce wore costumes covered in sequins or shiny, space-age material, from a modern interpretation of a hula girl with shiny black tendrils replacing the grass skirt to a high-necked Victorian-style top paired with sequined hotpants.

Beyonce's concert was part of Ethiopia's yearlong celebration of its 2,000th birthday according to its ancient calendar.

In September, at the start of the year 2000, Addis Ababa hosted Los Angeles-based hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas in a new, multimillion-dollar but temporary concert hall. But the reception for the internationally popular group was tepid, if respectful.

Beyonce's opening act, rapper Ludacris, also got a lukewarm reception Saturday.

"Rap music doesn't suit Ethiopia," said local music promoter Michael Melake. "Ethiopians need a melody.

"Rap music is all about the message and we don't identify with that," he said. "It's all about the black American experience, and we don't relate to that."

But the crowd appeared to genuinely enjoy the 26-year-old Beyonce, who sang many of the ballads on her latest album, "B'Day."

"She's hot," said local nightclub owner Enoch Nicano. "She's more than hot."

Concert organizers had another reason for why Ethiopians are so fond of the American singer.

"Because she loves Ethiopia," said Mulugeta Aserate, a member of Ethiopia's millennium secretariat.

Beyonce, who opened her world tour in Moscow last week, continues on to Romania, Turkey, India, Thailand, Indonesia and China.
