Rapper Queen Pen is singin' the blues...

Is This What U Put Up With When The Checks Stop Comin' In??

Eurweb.com has reported rapper Queen Pen (Lynise Walters) has been beaten by her bf (who's on the run at the time of this post) in FRONT of her children.
No, it's not cool to be beaten behind kids' backs either...my point is the trauma these kids have experienced witnessing this abuse 1st hand.
KENDALL WICKER also broke her grammy award.

I'm not sure which road to take...be pissed off at this bully for punching her in the face so bad 3 mos that she needed oral surgery, trashing her apt, throwing a brick thru her car's windshield and threatening to kill her (I'd say he'll probably make good on this threat if he's not caught) or be PISSED AT QUEEN PEN for staying in such a relationship...esp after blowing her grill out to the point of surgery???

What is it goin to take for women to get a grip, and get outta there by any means necessary??? I don't care if its baby daddy, husband, first love, college sweetheart ...if he's WHOOPIN' ur behind, trust...the feelin's not mutual towards you.
My son lives by this saying:
'I'd rather die like a man, than live like a coward'

I agree. I'd rather die doing what's best for my children than live in fear doing nothing. Is it ez? No. but it is possible.

Queen Pen need to get it 2gether, and rescue those children before the next incident ends no so nicely.

Site Receives Cease & Desist Order...

Chilling at my baby blog sis Shae-Shae's blog, I read that a cease and desist order was issued to Highbrid Nation .

It seems this image:

Lil Wayne

in addition to Hybrid Nation's words were illegally used.
LOL
Give me a break.
The ad is ghetto, and suspect as sheol.

Lil' Wayne, and Byrd Man caused all kinds of drama in the past for DL behavior, and then this ad comes out, and stirs up the hornets nest...again.
Looking at this ad, who'd think it's an ad for condoms?
My first thought... it was a ghetto behind album cover-glorifying the stereotypical life of rap/thug/gangster/arrested and caught with an illegal weapon/cache of drugs/driving on a suspended license/dl (down-low) rapper.

Lil Wayne had to be popping those e-pills (or maybe not) to even pose like that for the camera!
What in the world was he thinking??
The ad is a monkeydoodledandy hot mess...and I agree with Highbrid Nation-this marketing strategy did miss the mark.

The ad is stupidity, stereotypical (with blacks in the starring role as the BUFFOON) and ignorance at its best.

From The "Hotmessness files" ...Rick Ross

What could only be considered, "Ignorance at its Finest" this fool has put 4 feet in his mouth and not only bragged about being a weed head, but also name dropped. I'm sure that's the highlight of his soon-to-be-shortlived career. Even if it's true-why would you open your mouth, on the radio and brag about it. He'll be the same idiot that'll cry discrimination bcuz the police keep stopping him. I wish there was a way he could grow a beard over his lips. Idiot.

*During an interview Monday on Boston's Jam'n 94.5, hosts of The Ramiro and Pebbles Morning Show asked rapper Rick Ross to name the most famous celebrity he has ever smoked weed with.
Rick Ross

The Miami rap star laughed and said, "Bruce Willis," adding, "He doesn't talk too much when he's high - he'll just look at you, you know, 'I'm really smoking with this dude.' You know, I had to introduce him to that African thing, I got him some African."

In a recent interview, Ross copped to being "a weed fanatic," stating, "I've smoked blunts with some of the biggest people in the world. To me, that's my hobby. To be able to say I smoked blunts with Snoop Dogg, I've smoked blunts with Bruce Willis, I've smoked a blunt with Too Short. I'm what you call a Cannabis Cup Champion. source

We Are Sooooo Living In the Last Days!!

Rapper Juvenile's Daughter, killed by her brother (along with her sister, & mother!)

A Georgia teen was arrested on Friday (February 29) and charged with killing his mother, who was a sheriff's deputy, and his two small sisters.

According to reports, 17-year-old Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr. allegedly gunned his mother, 39-year-old Joy Deleston, and his two small sisters -- 11-year-old Micaiah and 4-year-old Jelani.

Jelani was the daughter of rapper Juvenile.

It is not immediately known the relationship Juve (real name: Terius Gray) had with his daughter. In 203, the rapper was arrested for abandonment of a dependent child after a DNA test determined he was the father.

Terrell, a sophomore at Central Gwinnett High School, has been charged with three counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault.

He is currently being held in the DeKalb County Jail without bail.

Rapper Pimp C, dead in L.A. Hotel (I'm not familiar with him...my kid is)

Houston Rapper Pimp C Found Dead In Hotel

LOS ANGELES -- Pimp C, one-half of the veteran Houston rap group UGK, was found dead in an upscale hotel on Tuesday. He was 33.

"It is with great regret that I must confirm that Chad Butler aka Pimp C, one half of the legendary UGK, was in fact discovered dead this morning," his publicist, Nancy Byron, said in a statement. "Manager Rick Martin is asking that everyone please respect his family and those close to him at this time and refrain from rumors and innuendo."

Pimp C, born Chad Butler, was found dead in the Mondrian hotel, a longtime music-industry hangout.

Butler and his partner, Bernard "Bun B" Freeman, were pioneers of Southern rap, and hit the mainstream with their cameo on Jay-Z's smash "Big Pimpin'." Though they never enjoyed the pop-chart success of some other rappers, their 1996 CD "Ridin' Dirty" is considered a rap classic, and their laid-back sound, complete with gangsta tales of creeping through humid streets gripping wood-grain steering wheels, was influential in shaping the Southern rap movement.

The duo's career was derailed when Butler was jailed for three years in 2002 on gun charges. He released an album while in prison, and this year the group made a comeback with the critically acclaimed album "Underground Kingz," which included the hit "Int'l Player's Anthem (I Choose You)," featuring OutKast.

Barry Weiss, CEO of their record label, Jive, said in a statement: "We mourn the unexpected loss of Chad. He was truly a thoughtful and kind-hearted person. He will be remembered for his talent and profound influence as a pioneer in bringing southern rap to the forefront."

Butler, who grew up in Port Arthur, Texas, came from a musical lineage. His father was a professional trumpet player, and the rapper studied classical music in high school. He even received a Division I rating on a tenor solo at a University Interscholastic League choir competition.

"That's how I came up listening to everything," he told The Associated Press in a 2005 interview. "Music don't have no color or no face. It's a universal language. I think being exposed to all that kind of stuff influences the way I make records."

But it was rap music that would become his passion. Together with Bernard "Bun B" Freeman, Butler's friend since junior high, they started UGK, short for Underground Kingz.

*UPDATE*: When Will Black Celebrites Learn:::T.I. Remains in Jail...

T.I. remains jailed on weapons charges
credits: Yahoo! News

ATLANTA - T.I. was ordered Monday to remain in custody on federal weapons charges until a bail hearing later this week. The chart-topping rapper was arrested Saturday, hours before his scheduled performance at the BET Hip Hop Awards. Federal authorities say he tried to buy three machine guns and two silencers from a man cooperating with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives.

T.I., born Clifford Harris, appeared briefly in federal court Monday. Wearing a black shirt and black jeans, he entered the courtroom expressionless and scanned the crowd filled with family, supporters and media.
The government wants to keep the 27-year-old rapper in custody as the case proceeds, but his attorneys planned to argue for his release on bond at a hearing scheduled for Friday.

A federal firearms dealer contacted the ATF this month about a man seeking to buy a machine gun without registering the weapon, according to a criminal complaint filed Saturday in U.S. District Court in Atlanta.

After attempting to purchase several machine guns from an undercover ATF agent, the unnamed individual — who said he had been a bodyguard for T.I. since July 2007 — was arrested. He began cooperating with the government and said that he was buying the machine guns and silencers for Harris, a convicted felon, the complaint said.
T.I. ended up winning two awards at Saturday's show.
*****
Again, these are some serious charges. I know you're supposed to say he "allegedly" bought guns, but they're keeping him locked up as if he did buy the guns for sure. No "alleged" anything.
Since it is alleged thought, T.I. circumstances has reminded me of a question i've asked concerning YB(young black) entertainers.
Why isn't your sucess enough to keep you out of trouble?
Basketball, football players, rappers, etc
you'd think being famous-one would be satisfied.
But it seems that celebrity status allows you to "buy trouble" in bulk, instead of putting trouble on layaway.
I just don't get it.

When Will Black Celebrities Learn?!

DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE PRESS RELEASE: On arrest of rapper T.I. for possession of illegal firearms

source: eurweb.com, (emphasis added by Ivent)

Atlanta, GA -- CLIFFORD HARRIS, 27, (pictured at right) an entertainer also known as "T.I.," of College Park, Georgia, was arrested in Atlanta at approximately 2:30 p.m. today (Saturday, October 13, 2007) by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), as he allegedly took possession of three machine guns and two silencers. Three other firearms were found in the vehicle HARRIS was driving.

ATF also executed a federal search warrant at HARRIS' house at 4XX Creekview Lane in College Park, finding six additional firearms in his bedroom closet.
United States Magistrate Judge Linda T. Walker issued a federal criminal complaint after the arrest and search, charging HARRIS with the felony offenses of (1) possession of unregistered machine guns [and silencers] and (2) possession of firearms by a convicted felon. HARRIS will be held in federal custody over the weekend and then will make his initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Alan J. Baverman at the United States Courthouse in Atlanta on Monday, October 15, at a time to be determined by the court. The United States Attorney's Office and ATF will hold a short news conference afterward at a location to be determined.
"Machine guns pose a serious danger to the community, which is why they are so carefully regulated," said David E. Nahmias, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia. "The last place machine guns should be is in the hands of a convicted felon who cannot legally possess any kind of firearm. This convicted felon allegedly was trying to add several machine guns to an already large and entirely illegal arsenal of guns. Thanks to the good and quick work of ATF, he is now in custody and his firearms have been seized."

"This investigation developed very quickly," said Vanessa McLemore, Special Agent in Charge of ATF's Atlanta Division. "We learned only this Wednesday that the cooperating witness was allegedly buying the machine guns for Harris. The cooperating witness told Harris on Thursday that he had obtained the items, and on Friday Harris made it clear that he wanted them delivered to him today. Harris then agreed to meet and took possession of the machine guns this afternoon. He now faces serious federal charges and a potentially long prison sentence."

According to U.S. Attorney Nahmias and the information filed in court: On October 2, 2007, an employee of a federal firearms licensee advised ATF that an individual was seeking to purchase a machine gun without registering the weapon as required by law. The individual was directed to an ATF agent acting in an undercover capacity, posing as a machine gun dealer. Last Wednesday, October 10, 2007, the individual was arrested by ATF after purchasing three unregistered machine guns and two silencers from the undercover agent in exchange for $2,200 and a pistol. The individual then agreed to cooperate with ATF, including with respect to his purpose for obtaining the firearms.

The cooperating witness (CW) advised the agents that he was purchasing the machine guns on October 10 on behalf of CLIFFORD HARRIS, aka "T.I.," an entertainer for whom the CW had been working as a bodyguard (I cannot believe they divulged enough info as to who was working with ATF, is he going in the witness protection program?!) since July 2007. The CW admitted to straw purchasing about nine firearms for HARRIS and about 17 firearms for other persons on previous occasions. Firearm purchase records confirm that the CW has purchased about 25 firearms over the past 18 months. The CW said that HARRIS gave him cash to buy guns on four occasions. HARRIS asked the CW to purchase the firearms for him because HARRIS has a prior felony conviction and therefore cannot lawfully purchase or possess firearms under federal law, while the CW could lawfully obtain guns.

According to the CW, he purchased a Calico 9mm pistol on September 6, 2007, and delivered it to HARRIS at HARRIS' house on Creekview Lane, where he also saw multiple firearms in a safe in the walk-in closet in HARRIS' bedroom. The CW next purchased a Smith & Wesson .500 caliber revolver for HARRIS on September 18, 2007, delivering it to an associate of HARRIS' to give to HARRIS. On or about September 26, 2007, the CW purchased seven more firearms, three rifles and four handguns, using $7,000 in cash provided by HARRIS, and delivered the firearms to HARRIS at the Creekview Lane house.

Finally, last Wednesday, October 10, 2007, HARRIS arranged for the CW to pick up $12,000 in cash from HARRIS's bank, telling the CW to use the funds to purchase machine guns for HARRIS. The CW was arrested later that day when he attempted to purchase three machine guns and two silencers from the undercover ATF agent.

After agreeing to cooperate with ATF, the CW had a series of telephone calls with HARRIS, which were recorded by ATF with the CW's consent. On Thursday, October 11, 2007, the CW called HARRIS to say that he had"everything for you," referring to the machine guns he was supposed to purchase on Harris' behalf; HARRIS replied affirmatively.

On Friday, October 12, 2007, HARRIS called the CW. The CW asked HARRIS when he wanted to take delivery of what the CW had, and HARRIS told the CW that he would take delivery today, Saturday, October 13, 2007.

After the CW left HARRIS a message this morning, shortly after noon HARRIS called the CW to arrange the pick up. At approximately 2:22 p.m., HARRIS met with the CW in a shopping center parking lot in midtown Atlanta to take possession of the firearms. The meeting was recorded by ATF. The CW entered the vehicle that HARRIS was driving and displayed to HARRIS the two silencers and three machine guns that the CW had purchased from the undercover ATF agent on October 10. When the CW explained the function of one silencer, HARRIS said "no flash, no bang." (what were you planning on doing T.I?)The CW and HARRIS also discussed the selector switch of one of the machine guns, which switches the gun from semi-automatic to fully automatic fire. HARRIS also asked the CW for "change leftover" from the $12,000 that he provided the CW to purchase the firearms.
HARRIS was arrested without incident. A subsequent search of the vehicle located three other firearms, including one loaded gun tucked between the driver's seat where HARRIS had been sitting and the center console.

Shortly after the arrest, ATF agents executed a federal search warrant for HARRIS' house at 429 Creekview Lane in College Park. (looks like his baby-mama and son will be moving now, since they've PUBLISHED THE ADDRESS!) In a walk-in closet in HARRIS' bedroom, the agents found six more firearms (three rifles, two pistols, and a revolver), including three of the guns that the CW had said he purchased for and delivered to HARRIS in September. Five of the six guns were loaded.

Members of the public are reminded that the criminal complaint only contains charges. The defendant is presumed innocent of the charges and it will be the government's burden to prove the defendant's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt at trial.

This case is being investigated by Special Agents of the ATF, with assistance from the United States Marshals Service, the Atlanta Police Department, the Fulton County Police Department, and the Fulton County Sheriff's Department.

********
Ok. Ummmmmm, hmmmmm.
Either T.I. is:
  • paranoid schizophrenic,
  • part of a militia,
  • made some bad people very angry,
  • is about to open a gun-store,
  • has a stalker on his hands,
  • received kidnapping threats
  • going hunting
  • had something to prove to Ted Nugent or the NRA
  • on some pre-meditated stuff
  • his own bodyguard, or
  • none of the above

This is very serious. whenever ATF is involved, something's going down. They don't waste time over crap.

He was scheduled to appearton BET, Saturday Oct 13th, and he was collaborating with Steve Harvey (per Steve Harvey's radio interview) for the website, www.streetcred.com.

Looks like all of that is on hold now.

T.I. you better start rapping, cuz your boy had already started singing! It's too bad you couldn't be more like your character on ATL, who left that life alone. Pity.

You better recognize, you didn't need street cred anymore...YOU'RE FAMOUS!

I will never understand this.
