Oh...NOW Kings County Hospital Wants To Implement Reforms?!

By now you all have heard about Esman (?) Green's death at Brooklyn's King County Hospital, mental ward.
She is the 49y/o woman who died UNNECESSARILY in a hospital waiting room under the staff's noses.
Now that the staff's cover-up has been UNCOVERED, and a massively major lawsuit is goin on...NOW Kings County Hospital of NY decides to makes changes.
I'm sure the 49y/o DEAD patient will be happy to hear that!
Oh...she can't. SHE'S DEAD!

I cannot IMAGINE that happening to some one I love.

Martin Luther King III's wife Andrea Waters King gave birth to a girl on Sunday.

MLK III and Andrea Waters King welcomed 7.5lbs Yolanda Renee King, to the King family.
The occasion would definitely be more joyous if grandparents Martin Luther and Coretta Scott were here to welcome their grandbaby!


Baby Yolanda is the 1st King grandchild, and is named after MLK III's older sister Yolanda King, who passed away a year ago on May 15th.

Dream...or Nightmare?

40 years ago on this day...one of the greatest civil rights leaders of our time was assassinated.
MLK, Jr. was on the balcony in Memphis, TN minding his own biz (unlike so many of us) when a bullet rang out forever silencing him.
Although we know MLK had a dream, his assassination destroyed the dreams of many.

Having said that...I'm lead to ask: "WWMT (What Would Martin Think) of the state of Black America if he was with us today?"

What would MLK think of the blood, sweat and tears he and other concerned Americans utilized to effect change, only to see:

• Children being raised by grandparents (or raising themselves) bcuz parents refuse to assume headship.
• When angry, solve the problem by shooting-with intention to kill.
• The growing number of black youth being charged with adult crimes and incarcerated as an adult.
• "Pimping the System" (SSI, SSD, Welfare, Workers Comp etc) so as to avoid working in the traditional capacity.
• When injustice is upon us-accept it, not change it.
• Males (young and old) emulating prison homosexuality by sagging their pants, as if that dress code is a badge of honor.
• Accepting redlining (illegal inflated pricing) in the areas of insurance, and housing.
• Youth who have no respect for authority, elders or themselves.
• The media that was created by black people, for black people-has now become the weapon to hurt, kill and malign the spirit of black people. We are portrayed as buffoons, Step and Fetch it, idiots, sexist pigs, black whores, pimpin' preachers, classless and tasteless.
  

Martin...if you were here, WHAT WOULD YOU THINK????

You know what I think?
I think had that bullet not ended your life sir, living to see the downward spiral of your people surely would have.
I'm glad you're not here to see this mess.
While there is always hope, one must wade through the muck and mire of idiocy and hopelessness in order to find it.
But if you're hopeful, it's worth enduring.
We know what Martin have done...What will YOU DO??

The star, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., surprised an interviewer for XXL magazine when he likened himself to African American icons Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X.

Asked about the perception he's over-saturating the market with his music, Wayne responds, "Darling, I don't care what nobody think. Talk to me like you talk to Martin Luther King or Malcolm X. You're not going to ask him about what he thinks about what somebody said about him. You ask him about his greatness, and his greatness only."

I've viewed a clipping of the Larry King Edition of S &P (Paula White) and all I have to say is: This chile has sho' nuff been prepped. She doesn't miss a beat.
Pasted-On smile? Check.
New Veneers? Check.
Mini-face lift? Check.
French Manicure? Check.
Soft spoken answer?Check.
Repeating a question, while you search for an answer? Check.

Paula was soooo comfortable in this interview, she even leaned in onto Larry's desk as if they're old buds (because she knew she was in control of herself). I'm sure they will be since he simply GLOSSED over the scandal surrounding Paula.
If it was Paul Edwards-Detroit radio talk-show Paul Edwards Show, Paula would've pulled a Dr. Jan...took that microphone off, walked out of the studio and ride off into the sunset!

The most disconcerting aspect of this show was not Paula...well not Paula per se...it was the clips that were aired. Paula was at her finest moment, walking up and down the podium, head going back and forth, shoulders getting ready to the do the "bankhead bounce" and then...
the camera pans the audience. Who's out there? US. An arena full of BLACK FOLKS lappin' that mess up like hound dogs!
What is it about desperate black people and megachurches?? What can charlatans, witches and warlocks do for you besides expedite your ticket to hell?

Having said that when I visited the church called The Old Black Church , don't let the name fool you...this church is for errybody, I read the "bulletin announcement" stating that Paula will be on CNN's Larry King Live tomorrow, November 26, 2007, 9pm EST. Because Larry isn't Christian (he's Jewish) he truly doesn't understand the issue between Paula and her cohorts and the church. So I know he will not throw questions at her that can be construed as "offensive" or hard-hitting, unlike my favorite Christian radio talk-show host, Detroit's own Paul Edwards. Paul interviewed her and asked how is it possible two Christians are unable to work out their marriage? And out of leftfield Paula used a distraction tactic in order to take the focus of her and her web of lies. Paula retorted, the least Paul could've done was ask about her dying "daughter." She said her daughter has 3, 4 stage cancer and is dying...truth is , Paul Edwards wasn't aware of the young lady's illness, it's Randy's daughter and if she's concerned about the young lady--why's Paula doing this book tour?? Remember, she'll be on Larry King tomorrow. Whatchoo talkin' 'bout Paula?!

Paula can not justify the path she has now chosen. As most false teachers can't when they're confronted by someone anchored in the Word.

On the same day as Dr. Donda West's funeral services, Dr. Jan Adams will be on Larry King Live. Hmmmm. I don't expect Larry King to be sensitive to the West family's grieving, I mean...they're not Tammy Faye, but this couldn't have been scheduled ONE DAY AFTERWARDS. It's a live show for goodness sakes.
Many people are clamoring to be on Larry's show-why, I haven't a clue. His questions are truly elementary-but I digress. It's too bad that yet again, common decency continues to elude Dr. Jan Adams.

I will not watch the airing...I may jump through the screen and choke both of the men, so I'll wait until afterwards and read any relative articles.
I can be objective-for those interested the show airs tomorrow, November 20th on CNN at 9pm, ET.

I would be prone to believe Dog when he said used the N-word not in a racial way, IF HE HAD NOT SAID on the phone call, if Lyssa brought home a F-ing N*gg*r, we'd all be mad-paraphrasing. There was no way to misinterpret that part of the conversation...however, I've decided to move on.

This video is 7:05 long...but it leaves you hanging in the end. If this fallout is what it took, in order to make The Dog a changed man...i'm all for it. I did feel sorry for him in this interview. The man looks like a whipped...well, a whipped Dog!

For the 1st time in over 3,000 years King Tut's face has been revealed for all to see! This is quite a coup as his face was almost destroyed, when his tomb was first discovered by Howard Carter in 1922, when he attempted to remove Tut's golden mask.

King Tut's body will be placed in a special casing so as to not accelerate the decomposition process due to heavy tourism. Under conducive conditions, King Tut's fragile remains can turn to dust.

Scientists said Tut was well-fed (duhhh, he was a king!), was approximately 5'6" and had a slight overbite. Can't have everything!

WASHINGTON (AFP) - He sleeps on a bench, but he is king of chess during the day at Washington's Dupont Circle, where he dazzles beginners and masters alike with his winning moves on the park's stone chessboards.

Tom Murphy, 49, (pictured above right) makes what little money he has from teaching his prodigious knowledge of the game to passersby for a few dollars.
"He has the title of expert in chess. This is the second highest American title; above him are master. So it means he is quite good," said Washington's Chess Center director David Mehler.

A former math and science major and a celebrity among amateurs, Murphy has made the Dupont Circle public square America's most prestigious chess park after New York's fabled Washington Square, according to some chess lovers.

"The mathematical equation has always been fascinating to me, then when you add the camaraderie, the ambiance, the open air, it's almost irresistible," said Murphy, peering over a park chessboard that draws players from all walks of life -- students, doctors, lawyers, drunkards.

Garrulous and brilliant, Murphy, grew up in North Carolina and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, two well known chess centers, and specializes in a lightning version of chess known as "blitz."
In this accelerated version of the ancient game, players are allowed five minutes for all their moves, and the game ends within 10 minutes.

"The appeal of blitz is that, maybe in two or five minutes, I may put together a work of art that might last a life time," Murphy said in his inimitable style of explaining chess basics.
The game, he said consists of "few guiding principles: king safety, fight for the center, give every piece a job."

"At blitz he is a very strong player. He has a very fast mind and he sees combinations very quickly. He calculates very quickly," said Mehler, who has been teaching the board game to underprivileged children for 15 years.
Murphy has won several chess tournaments and finished 15th in the 2005 world blitz championship.

He's not always down and out, but his addiction to booze often lands him on the street.
"The pursuit of the ego versus the pursuit of the spirit are in conflict sometimes," he explained. "I enjoy alcohol a little too much."

He attends Alcoholic Anonymous meetings and admits, "when I don't drink my chess is better."
Murphy aims to get better at chess and rise to the title of master.
"I would dearly love to go on and make my master's rating because through that I get a credibility to increase my teaching fee," he said.
"There is an upcoming tournament on Thanskgiving (November 22) in Philadelphia. That's looking promising," he added.

For now, the homeless chess teacher charges 20 to 30 dollars an hour and will match his wits with any rival for two to five dollars per game.

"Grand masters are teaching 100 or 200 bucks (dollars) an hour, masters can get at least 50, that's not bad," he said.
